July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Scavenger hunt Count us in.
Both Amy & I have volunteered to help set this up, but I've had no responses to ideas of things to collect (I was hoping for them by PM), since I have a few ideas, but more is always better. Are we willing to accept digital photos of 'contestants' with people/things/locations as part of a scavenger hunt?

Any suggestions or ideas of how many people would be interested in this kind of game, please post (gotta bring up that page count)...

Karen...I must be really blind! I didn't see kids size shirts at the site AT ALL, green or white!!! Where are the white ones in kid sizes? I saw the infant/toddler thingy, but no kids sizes.

I was thinking of looking for plain lime green t-shirts somewhere (online or in stores) for the kids...if we can't get them matching ones like ours. But if they could get white ones just like ours with the logo and their names and everything, then that would be another option.

Tell me where to find the kids sizes at the store online...I'll take a look and see about lime green ones elsewhere...then we can decide!

OK, Karen, I found the kids sizes!!! :rolleyes1 I really AM losing it! If it doesn't jump out at me, I'm clueless these days!

Karen...Alexis is kind of small for her age...still wearing 6X/7 in most things...I think the adult small would probably be too big. So the question is...BIG but green to match, white with the logo, or plain green. Hmmmmm....what are your thoughts?

I know I'm not Karen, but I was going to get a logo shirt for my Alexis, a package of Rit Dye, and my laundry sink.... I know the shade of green won't be exact, but it'll be pretty close. I'm too brain dead to work out the logistics of it, but if those with kids want to send the white shirts to me - I can dye them all as a lot.

Karen...I'll show the shirts to Alexis tonight and get her thoughts. Will also look online for a place to get plain green shirts if that's what we decide. Trying to think about what would look best in the pictures and what would be most recognizable in a crowd...kind of leaning toward the green!

Kim :flower:

Sara...yet another possibility!! Now I truly AM overwhelmed!!

Everyone with little ones...weigh in with your thoughts!!

Kim :flower:

I think that Sara should go out and buy a bottle of dye and dye a lot of shirts for the little ones I mean I am going to ask her to do one for my little girl why not do a bunch, the more the merrier I always say I heck send 2 for each proto-adult she has lots of time on the weekends... :rotfl2:

my next post will be from an undisclosed secure location(the dog house)

Wow, things are so busy around here it's hard to keep up! I'm going to order my shirts tonight and I think we're going to order the journal too. And stickers for my scrapbook. And maybe the buttons too.

Kim - I had to laugh at this because Erica wore 6X until she was 9 or 10 at least. She finally went through a growth spurt and is not so tiny anymore but is still small for her age. She's 12 and wears size 10 clothes. I'm going to get her the adult small but it will be big on her.

Well, Megan wears a size 12/14 so I am leaning towards an adult small. If it's too big she can use it as a night shirt after the cruise. I don't know if I am going to show her the picture because I think I will order the mugs and shirts as a little cruise bon voyage gift for them.

I think you should get them dyed so we all match for the picture.

When is everyone going to wear their shirts? Are you going to wear them as you go onto the ship so we can spot each other? I wanted Megan and I to wear our Princess matching shirts and the boys wear their Disney hawaiian shirts for the picture when we come onboard, but then maybe we could all change for the sailaway party so we can spot each other. Also, what time do they usually let us into our staterooms? I guess I could bring a bag (think Land's End bag), put all the kids' swim stuff in it and bring the shirts in it--in case we can't get into our stateroom right away. Just thinking out loud  . Just chime in any time with any thoughts.

My Cameron is wearing 10/12 child but it so depends on the shirt. I will probably order him an adult small and it will probably be big but since I have had to buy him 4 sets of sizes this year for school (he has grown almost 1 1/2 inches since sept) it won't be big for long. He had an absolute cow when I even suggested the white shirt. I would think that we wouldn't necessarily wear the shirts for boarding as we will all probably be coming at different times. There is so much going on..just my thoughts. The sailaway party would be a good idea.

Sheila...yeah, Alexis has worn 6/6X for a LONG time now. Actually, in her school uniform skorts, she still needs a 5! She inches upward a little each year, but the child has no waist!!!

Not sure what I'll do yet about a shirt for her...or for Hunter. We have matching Disney vacation shirts that we want to wear to go onboard, but the sailaway party might be a good time to wear the green ones if everyone wants to change. Or...the DIS party in Chris' room (especiallly if we plan a group photo around that time!). I'm just worried that if we wear them to the sailaway party, my little one will spill something all over it before we ever get a chance to wear it for a group photo. Of course, I could always send it out to be cleaned if that happens!

As the sun sets on the pine trees in the backyard, I have come to an understanding with our dog ... If it rains I will let him in to share the cedar bedding and the roof.

Seriously, if we want to do a dye lot of kids stuff, PM me & when you order the shirts you can send them to our house. Sara & I can then bring the dyed shirts (can they be personalized?) with us so that the kids, too, can change in time for the sailaway party. This has the added bonus of being able to make the a surprise for the little ones.

Did a lot of reseach on lime green custom tshirts for kids.

Set up an alternate site for lime green shirts for small children sizes. It is a lot more complicated to set up, manage & preview.

Go to link. Select our logo/shirt. On right drop down menu, select basic shirt. Select Lime. Select size.

If you want one of these shirts, ill have to set it up. Please limit these to those who absolutely have to have little shirts. Everyone else use the site already set up. Official site is Cafepress & alternate site for small children is Zazzle.

The cafepress I am paying for to host but site has better quality shirts with better store features and no mark-up. Zazzle generates a commission check of 10% to me for all purchases (This feature cannot be blocked) and is more expensive - very difficult to nafigate.

Let me know if you want this alternate site and PM me chilren names. Or do we just keep it simple and go with what we have already.

Official Site:

Alternate site:

Craig...I'm definitely interested in the alternate site for the children's sizes. I sent you a PM. Thanks!

Kim :flower:

Craig...you're the best...and so fast too! :) I'm going to order shirts for me and DH from the cafe press site and shirts for DS and DD from the zazzle site tonight after work.
