All--where are we meeting for the sail-away party. I am sure I'll see all the green shirts, but do we have a specific spot? I have 74 bottles of bubbles ready for the sail-away party!

I think someone had said deck 10, midships, starboard side, but I didn't find the thread yet to confirm. That would allow us to wave to the "bon voyagers." Does that make us the "bon voyagees?"

Exactly one week to go!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Got in late last night from London and have spent the morning shopping for last minute cruise things. I want to get everything done this weekend so that it's a stress-free (if that's even possible) week this week.

Lori, great news!! We're all looking forward to meeting you.

And, unless anyone says otherwise, let's say that the "official" sail-away meeting place is on Deck 10, starboard side, just above where they have all of the music and dancing (i.e. at mid-ship, Goofy's pool, I believe). Just go there right after the lifeboat drill and meet up!!

Is it time? Are we there? When can I board the ship? Can I board now? Are we there yet? Is it time? Can we cruise now?

I'm with you, Amy. Can I go now? .... How 'bout now? .... Now? .....I wanna go NOW! All the packing on Wed, errands on Thurs, Cassie getting corn-rowed on Friday. Whew!

Soon we'll all be :grouphug: at the meet. Can't wait. Be safe traveling everyone.

(Can I go NOW?)_

I just finished our door sign (great idea Cheri). I have 4 sheets of magnetic paper left, so if you want one, make it up, PM me and I'll PM my email address back and you can send me the file. I'll print it out and bring it on the ship with me.

In a week we'll be sailing away!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Wow! There sure is a lot of us here on this sailing! Sheila posted on my nursery question and told me about this thread. I'm new to DIS - this is great! We have been on about 8 cruises, but never Disney. Very excited. So the question I posted had to do with the hours a toddler is allowed in the nursery - Has anyone been on a disney cruise before and know if we can use the nursery more than 10 hours? On the website, it says 10 hours is the max, but I'm not sure if that is just referring to on-line booking. I have a 2 1/2 year old who is very excited about going. I show him the photos on the website and he goes - "me go, bye-bye Mommy and Daddy." Guess he won't be missing us!

Disney store is having a big sale and I just stocked up on some disney travel toys. Should be handy if we have a wait to get on board. Anyone know the earliest they have let people on?

Sorry, so many questions....I'll stop now! Lisa

Lisa -
Welcome to our thread. My husband and I have a 25 month old daughter, and what I've read about the nursury is that they'll only let you book 10 hours at the beginning of the week (online or onboard) and then as time goes on, if space is available they'll let you bring the kid back again with no limit.

Another option is that you could find someone else with a small child that you could trade some extra babysitting with (hint, hint)...

Again, from what I've read, the boarding should be between 12:00 and 12:30, but that most of the DISers past have gotten there about 10 to avoid the ugly lines that are rumored to have cropped up in the afternoon.

Try to catch up on some of the past stuff on the thread. We should all be meeting on Deck 10 during the sailaway.

See you next week.

Sara

Thanks,
I am trying to catch up now...a lot of reading! I was excited to see the website for the pirate tour. We are signed up for that and are very excited. Thanks for the update, and now back to reading!

Welcome Lisa!!

Started my packing list and after a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday there is a huge pile in my bedroom with cruise stuff. Only 6 more days!

Can you even believe it's only 6 days??!!!?? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I currently have piles everywhere...my room, the garage, my closet. I need to get out the suitcases and start putting the stuff in them before I can even figure out if I'm missing something! I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!

Kim :flower:

Welcome aboard, Lisa! From your screen name can I assume you are from these parts? (Am I quick or what? :rotfl: ) There are a few of us Cali-forn-i-a-ns aboard. Everybody else is pretty great, too :teeth:

What is this about a Pirate Tour? pirate: Is this the schooner sail?

Karen , if I can't get my printer to stop cutting off the top of Mickey's ears, I'll send you my file. I'm sure it's the printer's fault :badpc:

 :dancer: IS EVERYBODY READY TO PLAY??? :thewave:

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We have piles everywhere too! But I did get out the suitcases yesterday so we can officially start packing. Erica is the only one so far to actually put anything into a suitcase.

So is anyone planning on doing a "Live from the July 9th" thread?

I have everything packed but our formal stuff. Had to run out and get DH a white shirt, even oxy clean wouldn't clean the other one! BTW Jc Penny's has a ton of different color shirts from Van Husen on sale for $8.99-17.99 with another 20% off. These are $37+ orginally. They are in the dress shirt section toward the back.

I spent all day Friday looking for post cards. Most places don't carry them anymore. They told me you have to live near an airport (ONT is 5 minutes away! Duh!) or Disneyland. Finally I found a UPS store that had some and then went I had to go to Los Angeles for work they had a bunch (Kim, the ups store at Euclid and Foothill has Rancho Cards).

Now all I have to do is make my door sign and do all the paperwork I need to finish for work.

Our local Walmart has a whole rack of post cards near the front registers.

I've been doing laundry today and trying to organize everything so I can fit it all in our luggage.

Is it time yet? :jumping1:

Just got back from the Lion King and it was excellant!! We had great seats and it really put us in the Disney mood! ::MickeyMo

As for packing, my spare bedroom is full of suitcases (4 very large mostly packed!) and miscellaneous stuff. My poor cat -- I found him behind one of the suitcases -- looks like he might stow-away! :rotfl2:

I just have one more load of laundry for Dylan (not enough underwear and socks) and I have to mow the lawn tomorrow (so that I dont' come back to a jungle :confused3 ). We leave early Tuesday morning. I have to try to stay up past midnight so that I can print our boarding passes (we are doing the Southwest cattle call as they have the only direct flights).

I can't believe it is almost time!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the tip on the Rancho postcards, Lori! That's hysterical...since Euclid and Foothill is in Upland! :rotfl2: I'll have to check it out! I really wanted Rancho Cucamonga postcards rather than generic California ones.

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July! We'll be watching fireworks and having fun at Quakes stadium in Rancho Cucamonga...yes, it really is QUAKES stadium!! :rotfl2:

DH wants to watch a movie tonight...so I guess packing will be put off for another day! Did more shopping for "last minute" things today. I don't think I'll ever be done!

Kim :flower:

Thanks all for the welcome. ::MickeyMo We are from Northern California, close to SF. I went and got some bubbles - that was a great idea. We are going with my parents, and siblings and kids (party of 20). So don't think I'll be able to join in all your fun as it will be quite the adventure just getting us together! But I so appreciate all your advice on this thread. It was great to read. I made a little sign for our door (we are on deck 8). Haven't thought about that before - it will be great for my kids as now I won't have to hear "is this our room? is this our room?" throughout the whole cruise! I read that part, made my sign, than read more about your whole pirate theme. So funny as the sign I made is a pirate one! pirate: I just need to find the right paper to print it on. I went and got pirate stuff today - and added it to the HUGE pile of stuff in the living room. I really, really wish we were driving now as I have no idea how I'm getting all this stuff on a plane. But I don't feel I can leave without all of it! I'm in a panic stage as I can't find the matching hawaiin shirts my mother got my boys - and she plans on taking a picture of all the grandchildren in them. ARG! I'll have to call the store in hawaii to see if I can get them replaced and sent overnight. After all this waiting, it does seem as if it is suddenly here so fast! So excited. Have fun you all! Lisa

I found postcards at Barnes and Noble for $.75. I'm glad I passed on that great bargain because an hour later I found the same cards at Long's Drug Store for $.20. Who'd a thought. :confused3

Magnetic paper is available at Office Depot in packs of 10. It supposedly goes thru laser jets pretty well. I'll be trying it later tonight. Now if I could only figure out why my Mickey head is perfect on the screen and the ears are cropped when it prints. It just can't be my magical touch with all things electric, can it?
