July 7, 2018 — 10-Night Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona. I had to cancel this cruise.

We just booked this cruise for our 30th anniversary!!!!!! Time to start researching/planning!!!!

:welcome:
Lots of folks celebrating on this cruise, that's wonderful!
Starting to look like it for a lot of us. While it won't be during the month of our 10th Anniversary (October); we are using the cruise to celebrate our Anniversary. Plus it gets Europe off the wife's bucket list :-).

Yep, we were a month before for our '08 B2B cruise and a month after for this one so it averages out. And it also satisfies the Med cruise bucket list.

Our first cruise was an Eastern Caribbean on the Magic in 2011 which was our delayed honeymoon. It was the most fun and relaxing time I've had on a vacation. I know that this one next year will be just a fun; maybe not as relaxing; but will give us more great memories.

I'm from aberdeen Scotland, 1st disney cruise. Will be myself and husband son (21) Daughter 19, brother 30 and sister 26 (both brother and sister have down syndrome ) booked cruise after death of my mum in Jan. We've done one cruise before but don't think it will be anything like this one. Everyone looking forward to it and wishing away the year

@bobbiwoz So sorry to hear that you cannot join us, but the cruise is very far away, and I am sure there will be many changes as it gets closer. I know for myself, that I had to change/cancel previous cruises I had booked a year or two in advance. Hope to meet you on another DCL cruise :)

Am I being paranoid or is anyone else concerned by the activity in Barcelona over the last couple months (terrorist attack, “no more tourists” demonstrations, etc)? Just wondering if there is a chance that Disney may change the itinerary to a different port?

Some airlines are currently allowing travelers to re-book, but only for travel in the next week.

Some cruise ships are currently diverting to Valencia, Spain. But these are ships just stoping as a port destination on their itinerary.

It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive or a 50-minute connecting flight from Barcelona to Valencia. Getting there from Barcelona wouldn’t be a problem for people who have booked flights with enough time to make the trip to Valencia if Disney changed departure and arrival ports.

This is a civil war that does not seem to be infiltrated with any terrorists. Barcelona is Spain’s primary tourist economy. I am hoping that nine months from now things will have settled down. The airlines seem to agree since they are only allowing changes for flights in the next week or two.

There are hotels by the airport if you want to stay away from town, but right now our hotels are in the center of town. I am not concerned at this point. It is way too early to make changes.

I'm following along here on behalf of my coworker - she will be on this cruise with her family. She is really busy and doesn't have much time for planning, and since I love Disney Cruises and Europe, I offered to help her out. I'm sure by the time you all go on your trip I will be SO jealous I'm not joining in!

Good night from Spain! I've booked this cruise, it's the second time I do it (this itinerary) and it's really magical. It's my 6 Disney cruise and I'm very happy! I'm interested in doing the fix extender, would anyone else want to do it? A magical greeting to all.

Well our plane tickets and one night hotel stay have been purchased. The pocket book is lighter but the excitement is building.

Hello! fellow Scots joining the cruise. We are from Fife. My FIL loved cruises and passed away suddenly last year. We are going on our 1st cruise at his request. We have kids: project manager daughter (12) & entertainment manager (10) they have our itinerary already planned.

We just booked this cruise! it will be our 30th anniversary, and 1st time overseas! We live just on the other side of the GG bridge outside of San Fran. We love Disney ad we have been on over 10 cruises. My dream has been to go to Italy and especially to visit Rome and the Amalfi Coast. We will be doing Florence (not Pisa) and all of Rome, Positano and Pompeii. Not sure yet what else in the other ports. I am interested in doing the fish extenders!!!!
