We have been hanging on but the collapse of the pound against the dollar has just made the cruise too expensive..our cut off point was when it went below $1.50 so on this one we will be missing,, regards to all and still enjoy yourselves!!:mad::mad:

Sorry to see you go. Europeans have enjoyed very favorable exchange rates for a long, long time. Being on the other side of the pond and exchange rate, I certainly understand. :guilty:

Hi all. I got the yahoogroups set up for the kids/tweens/teens that might prefer to get acquainted more personally in a less public way than on the boards - if you're interested for your kids, let me know and I'll send you the sign up info by PM. It's set up privately and all members have to be approved by me. Parents are welcome to sign up too to monitor if you feel the need to do that.

Pappy, sorry you have to cancel :(

LOL about the DH who fell asleep on the Oslo page :) Sometimes it takes so long for the pages to load - LOL.

Have you all seen excursion times listed yet? I haven't gone to look but figure we should be getting reports from those sailing before us who are able to book excursions (maybe now? or very soon).

Lots of planning / reporting to do today - but gotta get some errands done first.

Yep, we're in the same situation but so far are still going. We're pretty much paid up now but are still trying to gather up the last thousand dollars from somewhere though. It's made a fairly expensive holiday VERY expensive for us. Still, once in a lifetime, eh?

I need ten posts to respond to your PM. I better get to work! I'll talk with Daniel about what games he plays on line. He isn't on his Wii much anymore either. Mostly XBox 360 and the computer.

This was posted on another thread...

Note

For all care on booking flights home.

Due to tidal issues, debarkation in Dover on July 6th (for the June 24th voyage) will not begin until 10:30am. It is recommended that your flight departure time should be no earlier than 4:00pm.

Guest ashore times and onboard times are subject to change without notice.

Does anyone know if our debarkation, July 18, have changed? Trying to booked return flights and looking at a 2PM flight.

I haven't heard about our debarkation being delayed. So you should be fine with a 2pm departure.

We're officially paid in full, so it looks like this trip is really going to happen:cool1:

I have a question.... My mom is telling me that there is a new requirement and we will need a certification of vaccination. Is this correct??

Where did she find the info? Is their an article, etc? I haven't heard anything but doesn't mean there isn't anything.

I really don't know, that's why I was writing it here... Maybe someone had heard something.... Will continue looking and if someone knows please let me know.

I checked the CDC website for travel info (http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/). It mentions a measles outbreak last year in the United Kingdom and H1N1 screening at international airports. I didn't see anything about carrying vaccination certification. But I'll keep looking :confused3

I'll PM you Daniel's E-mail once I have ten posts! Daniel added the dancing banana. I'd have thought he'd pick the one in front of the TV!:happytv:

Received my package from DCL today and there is a section that says that some countries require vaccinations and to check with WHO. Perhaps that's what someone's mother is referring to?

I told DH to look at excursions as well, just so that he doesn't do the "you didn't tell me about that!!" thing. The REDHEAD and I have planned to only do DCL excursions in Berlin and we're booking our own guide in ST Petersberg, so far I think we're doing Hop on Hop off buses in all the other ports. Sooo, he's looking around and see's the ship one. And like drooling all over it. I tell him if he wants he can go do that one on his own and I'm heading into Berlin... till he see's the price!!!! LOL, it was PRICELESS! And then he goes on, YOU CAN'T TAKE PICTURES!!! Gotta love a man married to a scrapbooker!!

ETA: Forgot to add, we're paid off!!!

Just made our final payment. I think I actually heard our credit card groan! :rotfl:
