CarolAnnC and sshaw10060, thanks for the replies!!

We have already put in favorites our DCL tours, I was asking just if we have free time.

I really love the DCL excursions, in 2007 we had a blast with them in the Med Cruise.

We've just booked our pre-cruise hotel in Dover - the Premier Inn. Just a basic motel but it'll do for the one night. We'll be travelling down from our home in Yorkshire the day before.

sorry, but I got a PM and cant post a %&$!@* reply because of board rules!!

:headache:

So here's the response:

Around 350/person (which is a little less than the St. Catherines tour). I'd have to look on if that includes the gold room (which was 50 per person). I think you can get it a little cheaper but we wanted to just book it and RO was just plain better at getting back to us quickly. We debated about going with Anastasia...from what we have read, either is fine.

Welcome aboard all the new travelers... I haven't been doing a good job keeping up here. But I wanted to see if the prices have changed much for our cruise and you can't even book a room with a Balcony. WOW. I guess we have a pretty full cruise coming up. You can still book a balcony on the 7/18 cruise and the price is pretty high.

Edited to add: However, those that can cancel for categories 4 to 12 still have some time so, I'm sure the numbers will change around the 120 day mark.

Thinking about the LK mat, we arrive on the 3rd So that might be a good choice
Me DW, DNephew(14), DNiece(9) I am I a good Uncle or What?

Hi Cindy and Sig! DS was so excited to know there were two boys he could play video games with. He asked all kinds of questions, all of which I had no answers to (Such as what game systems they have and games they like.). Just wait 'til I tell him there are three more boys!

Ladies - I told my boys (who will also be 12 & 14 on the cruise) that there are other boys on the trip also into video games. My youngest actually said, hey maybe we can meet some of them (HE NEVER goes to the kids rooms, always stays with us - I almost passed out when he said that)
I forgot who wrote it but my oldest is also into history, he's excited about the prospect of seeing the castles & miltary forts in Dover (dh is a big history guy)

Here's a simple answer RedHead - mine both have DSi's that they'll be bringing. We have a Wii. They like all the Mario stuff & Smash Bro's., Zelda & Final Fantasy. Yesterday we went out to find a used game called Fire Emblem - Path of Radiance younger ds wanted it because it has Ike or Marth who's in Smash Bros.

Scary I know all that!:scared1:

:worship:Hey!! Great idea!

I love simple answers when they work :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

...five...:cool2:

I think you have to have 10 posts to get PM privileges, so for those of you just joining us, I'm sure it's fine with everyone if you want to get those numbers up by posting just to post!

I love the idea of a meet on sailing day - and I love the idea of getting the kids together especially. Zachary (our younger who is 12 1/2) makes friends easily and always likes the youth activities. Nathan (who will be 14) is thrilled that as of last report, Ocean Quest is still through the 14 y.o.'s as he loves going there but doesn't necessarily want to do the organized activities there. One of the disappointments we had on our Royal Carib cruise was the lack of supervision for unstructured time for the tween/teens. They had a place to hang out but no youth activity counselor to provide supervision - yet parents weren't allowed there to supervise. With DCL, they always have a youth counselor or two there or else they aren't open. DCL wins hands-down for us with the tween crowd.

Does anyone want to set up an email group through yahoogroups that could be private that would be for our cruise kids? I could do it if there was enough interest. Then they could email each other as a group and all get acquainted. PM me if your kid is interested and after I get it set up, I'll PM you back the sign up information. And of course any of you parents who would want to join could do so, too, but we'll make a rule that it's just for watching purposes only :)

There is a Teen Thread for our cruise at:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2380584

I've been catching up on the planning for this cruise. Still have a couple dozen pages of this thread to read:confused3

We will be staying pre-cruise at the Grosvenor using points and enjoying the buy 4 get 1 free deal. We stayed at the Chancery Court post-Med and it was very nice. We took the train in from LHR and lugged our bags but the station was right around the corner from the hotel. We walked to The Lion King and
around the neighborhood. Wanted to try a different area this time and will need a room for four instead of three.

Hi Kathy! nice to see you back on the boards!!! Can you believe it....the cruise is getting so close now!

just have to share this one - my dh asked today when we need to start thinking about what we're doing on the cruise LOL!

Mine took his computer to look at the excursions. Found him asleep on the Oslo homepage.
Last night he said "Wow" when he saw the price one of the Dover excursions. So I directed him to the "Building the Disney Dream Shipyard Visit" :rotfl2:
Don't think he's going to worry about the cost of anything we choose now. :lmao:

We have been hanging on but the collapse of the pound against the dollar has just made the cruise too expensive..our cut off point was when it went below $1.50 so on this one we will be missing,, regards to all and still enjoy yourselves!!:mad::mad:
