We are using most of our annual leave for the trip, too. Thankfully it will be after June when DH gets his leave dumped into his leave account, and after July 1st when my personal holiday gets dumped into my leave account. If you all think I'm budgeting and pinching pennies to afford this trip, you should see how I am with my vacation hours from work! I budgeted it out started about this time last year to make sure I would have enough for the trip as well as our other times we wanted to be off (see my sig line - LOL). I plotted out which pay periods I can work extra in to earn comp time, which weeks in the biweek pay period I need to be sure to make up time for any I'm off (like I'm off this week coming up but worked last week plus some so I don't have to take off the full time).

Anyway, I'll come back with practically zero leave hours, but thankfully work a job where as long as I put in 80 hrs in two weeks, I'm good. That gives me flexibility if I need to be short one day. And we do get decent sick leave hours as well.

After reading this thread and the general Baltic info thread, I think I'm glad I went with DCL for air/transfers now. All this changing info (or atleast new info to me :upsidedow ) is making my head spin and I know I would be uber stressed if I did everything myself. Still a little concerned about flights home since DH has to be back to work the next day.

Guess What??!!

We cruise 6 months from today!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, we are probably at this moment doing the muster drill and getting ready for sail away...that is if we are not delayed due to the late debarkation of the 24th peeps!!!

Just made the final payment... on our Wonder spring break cruise! ;) I'm soooo glad we have that cruise to tide us over until this one! :woohoo:

How is everyone getting to Dover from the airport? I'm just agonizing over this. I don't want to use DCL as they are outrageously priced. Does anyone know of any private car companies that they have used or have heard of?

I still can't decide between Heathrow or Gatwick, although Heathrow is more convenient if we take the national express.

Any advice would be helpful!

We are doing private transfers. They are a little more in cost than the Disney Transportation. But I don't think, my 9 year old would deal with her own luggage. If you go by train you have to make multiple train changes, etc.. I'm not comfortable trying to do that with a 9 year. Plus, we'll have our 4 pieces of luggage and our airplane carryon. It would just be too much for us. Finally, on the last day of our cruise we are flying out that day. A private car can get you to the airport in about an hour. Buses and trains and can take much longer. So, I didn't want to chance us missing our flight home.

A couple post back I put who we are using... I'll have to find it later as I'm walking out the door. I found it: www.woodfordchauffeurcars.co.uk/

With luggage and all, what are you guys taking to get from Heathrow to your hotels if you are staying in Central London?

Seriously planning our pre-cruise time in London and York...

We have tickets to Wicked for July 2!

And want to book the ghost bus for July 1..

are you thinking the early tour or late tour? we will be there on the 1st as well!!! not sure if it would be too scary for the 8 year old.

There's only the 7:30pm offered for that night (so early!)
I have a (young) 12 year old. I showed her the website. She thought it seemed fun. All the reviews I can find are positive.

We picked this over a walking tour because we'll be walking all day!:faint:

We liked these two. We're a party of 5 - are you interested in creating a group tour?
