I am looking forward to an Alaska cruise at some point, but I would the it is almost certain that the Alaskan itinerary is here to stay since they are stationing a ship on the west coast permanently. I am eyeing the 11-day Christmas cruise.

I saw Christmas cruise for 2011 oh I would love to do that look excellent that but my work are not allowing off in December.... :sad2:

one day I will be on Christmas Cruise :santa:

I am pleased for you both as lots of people want see Alaska, I think it would bee nice for Disney Cruise go through to Alaska...

I think it will be very popular with booking too...

Scottishwee35

My mother took a Princess cruise to Alaska a few years back and enjoyed it very much. We love Disney so much, I don't think I would look at another cruiseline, though.

The Christmas cruise sounds nice - I hope you can go one day, too! :)

We are looking at the Christmas 2011 cruise, but I am afraid to see the price. Did anyone see where they alluded to a Prince and Princess Ball at the D23 Expo for the cruise stop in St Petersburg?

So today I signed the kids up for their Delta SkyMiles accounts and also DH and I retrieved ours, so we'll be ready to book our flights soon. I noticed that a few seats have already been taken on both our outbound and return flights, so I don't want to wait too long to book. Of course we still have our airfare with DCL scheduled, so if we mess around and miss out, then we have that as a back-up. I'm hoping that the fare will have a drop sometime soon on a special sale or something.

I booked a rental car through Avis yesterday for our pre-cruise stay. The current plan is to fly in on the first spend a few days with friends in Herfordshire then spend a day working our way to Sussex and finally a day in Dover.

I am not sure if we will actually make it to London or not for this trip. Having a 3 year old in tow makes the countryside seem much easier.

Question to throw out there...

I purchased the option for transfers to the Port from DCL when I booked last year... Now reading the website it seems like they will be transferring from the three hotels DCL is booking to... However you have to book the hotel stay thru DCL... Is this correct?

That is correct. I have the hotel booked with points. So, we are still researching transfer options on our own.

Anybody booking 2011 Alaska? We are booked on the 6/21/11 Alaska 7 night Itinerary.. wheeeeeee! :)

well, I hate to say this, but I won't be doing this cruise anymore, booker LA to Vancouver cruise for 2011 and first Alaska cruise, I'll still be reading this and hope to hear about this cruise after it from all of you as well:goodvibes

No, we won't be doing Alaska in 2011 with Disney. We have plans with 4 other families for summer 2012 to do Alaska on Princess. We are going to book the May 14th EBTA for 2011.

We are doing one in July. DH has been waiting anxiously to go to Alaska on Disney!

Hi everyone....we are at Ko'Olina now and as always it is beautiful here. They have starting building the new Disney resort here. I will get pictures and post them.

Yesterday I was talking to a local and an employee at Marriott and she said they have "heard" that DCL will be be bringing a ship here when the new Disney hotel and DVC is done. There is a marina and yacht club next to Marriott and looking out my window I see a couple of large tankers too. It isn't big enough for DCL but I'm sure with some work it might fit....:confused3

It would be perfect to bring a ship here.....I agree....
Hi Denise... Hope you are having fun... We will be visiting in November for a week. I can't wait to see all the changes in the area. I look forward to the pictures when you return. Enjoy your week! Tina

Hi guys I've got some sad news. As much as we have been looking forward to this cruise we have had some medical problems come up that are going to prevent us from traveling out of the country next summer. I hated to give up this cruise and we really struggled with this decision but everybody feels that it would be bets for us not to be so far away. So instead we will be going to BLT for10 days and have moved our cruise to the July 9 2011 med cruise.

Oh Lissa

I am so sorry to heard the sad news but you still go with disney cruise on 2011 that would be wonderful...

Lissa, I am so sorry to hear you will not be joining us. I am sure you will enjoy the Med.

Is anyone going to the NE Podcast meet this weekend?

All I can say Tina is this has been wonderful...we are in the newest building with a beautiful ocean view. On the 10th floor.....Only half the building is complete. The rest will be done in 2011 they said. Then one more building to go after that. Sales must be slow here. They were offering 20% off if we bought another week. We didn't, the prices are less then when we bought here in 2004 so I can't see it. We have enough weeks.
My card reader on this old laptop is not working so I will load pics in when we get back. I plan on getting a better laptop before our next cruise...one of those 10" ones...this one is so old and so big and so heavy....
Oh, Costco has opened down the road and is also nice.

Oh Lissa, I am so sorry about your news. I hope everything turns out well and you enjoy your Med cruise in 2011. The Med cruise was tons of fun so you will have a blast.....

Marla - sorry you won't be sailing with us but your alternate plans sound wonderful, too.

Lissa - PM me, honey -- sorry to hear you all won't be sailing with us - it won't be nearly as fun... but hopefully everything will work out so summer 2011 will be a blast for you all.

Carol - we're on stand-by to book for the June 14th Alaska - a week before you. Nathan's birthday is June 16th so we wanted to be on board for that. We are booking on Monday since we are one short on the number of DCL cruises to get to book early. We were going to use DVC points but decided to just do it with cash (we can always trade later if we decide to) but think we want to save our DVC points to use for a "bonus" cruise when they start booking the new ship.

Hello:

We booked the Alaskan cruise with Disney for July 26, 2011. Was surprised at how pricey it was but we are booked anyhow. There are five of us in a category 4A room. We have the Christmas 2010 cruised booked as well as the Northern European Capitals booked for July 6, 2010. We are very excited.

That is correct. I have the hotel booked with points. So, we are still researching transfer options on our own.

That stinks... I really don't want to spend the $$$$ to travel back to Heathrow just to catch the bus...

What type of room did you get on points and for how long?

I'd like to hear how you guys are going to travel from Heathrow to central London. I've never been to LON and am curious what is best...

Hi Everyone...

I just thought I would pop and say "Hi" since my family and I will be sailing with you.

We are: DH, DW (me), DS (7) and DD (5)
Stateroom: 7020

I haven't had a chance to read the thread, at all, but it is on my "To Do List". I don't even really have a good excuse (especially since I've had this booked since Day 1) so I will try and get caught up (and in the process get to know you). In the meantime, I'm going to try and book another PC cruise tomorrow so wish me luck. :surfweb:
