July 5th Dream

My DH and son are booked and sooo excited! We sailed on the Wonder in March on 2010 and had such a blast that we booked the Dream while on board. Just joined this forum today and am a newbie to all this...looking for all the tips to help make our trip even more magical!

Welcome aboard:yay:

Are you in charge of FE thread as well? I subscribed to it and gave our info on it too. Just wanted to make sure we were on the "list"! Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

For those that are planning on flying Southwest to get to this cruise, our dates will be available in the schedule next release which is on Tuesday, November 16:cool1:

Just booked this cruise last night. This is our first cruise. Just discovered the Disney board. We live in Florida so we have been to Disney hundreds of times(several years with annual passes). Turned 40 this year and decided it's finally time to go for it and try a cruise:-) Family includes DH(43), and 3 sons ages 17, 15 and 7(July 4th bday) at the time of the cruise. I'll try to get older sons to check out teen thread, they are excited about teen areas.

My DS is also 7! Maybe they will become the best of friends on the cruise! We are staying in cabin 8059. What about you?:flower3:

Yes please , feel free to use it .....if we have enough people as we get closer I can have them printed to shirts as well ....:thumbsup2

LOVE the pirate logo!! pirate: My family (myself, DH and DS[7]) would love shirts as well! I may use your logo for a magnet as well, if you don't mind - it's AWESOME!! :cheer2:

we will be joining you all ! me, dh, and dd(27). Our first time in an inside stateroom. We are a little nervous that we won't enjoy it as much- have been spoiled with verandas every other cruise, but since we have to attend cruise wedding of my niece in April (RCCL);), it was inside or cancel- . Anyone ever go from veranda to inside? how was it? any reassuring words from our dis friends-lol:grouphug:?

Welcome!! We will also be in an inside room - stayed in an outside room on the Wonder in March. Our room on the Dream is not a deluxe, so I know we will miss the split bathroom. :sad1: But on the up side, we will have the virtual porthole - we are excited to see who shows up on it!! :woohoo: I'm sure you will miss the veranda (hard not to!), but there will be so much to see on the Dream, so try to get out and explore the ship as much as you can! And when you are missing that veranda, just remember what the alternative was!! :dance3: By the way, do you have your room assignment yet? Looking forward to cruising with you and your family! :grouphug:

Thanks Princess Bette! We too have "only' a standard inside (another first for us- no split bath) but we hope that since it is a new ship and only a 5 day we will stay busy exploring the ship. :cool1:we do have our room since we booked the day booking began (transferred dummy ressie from on board booking previous cruise). We will be in cabin 7689 very aft of ship. we really wanted to avoid connecting cabins so our choices were far more limited-lol. It would be great if we had dis friends nearby! :dance3:

Mom2mizmous - it looks like we will be in 8059 more toward the front of the ship. However, our room is a connecting one - did not notice that when we booked in March! :confused3 I called DCL to try to get a non-connecting room and was told only family size rooms with veranda's were available for this cruise! :sad2: We are still 6 months out! With all those people on board, do you think we will be able to put our big toe in one of the pools?! :scared1: Or will we be waiting hours in line to ride the Duck?! :rotfl: Will you be participating in the FE gift exchange? We plan to - it is our first time to do it - ds7 is sooo excited! :yay:

Understand about the connecting cabins easy to miss that one- esp since there are so few on new ships- great for larger families, not so great for the few of us who want to avoid them! :confused3
We would like to participate in fe not sure who to "talk' to yet bout it.. still catching up on past posts since we are late joining in.
As far as the pools, a little concerned about overcrowding since drawings of pools dont look much bigger than old ships- and lots more people!:grouphug: For us since we r all adults we r only concerned with adult pool area, but DCL isn't very forthcoming about how that will really look. Hoping there will be hot tubs in the adult area- not side by side or opposite the family one.( like the adult area- don't get me wrong love kids, 3rd grade teacher here:teacher:, but also like that Disney gives us all our 'own' little hideaways=lol) But I;m sure it will all be good in the end!
I do expect long lines at duck but need to do at least once / hoping for Nassau day since don't care for that port anyway (been there done that way too many times!)
