Thanks RunnerMum0 for organising the split - now to hit the shops to find the perfect FE gift (with an Aussie twist)!

My 8 yr old DS will want to talk all things Australia. Our trip there was in 2010, but he still talks about wanting to go back!

All we need to do is convince Disney to bring their ships to Australia! It would be nice to sail with Mickey without a long, long plane flight first. Glad your son enjoyed his time here - I have an 8 yr old son, so maybe they can get together on the cruise & talk all things Australian.

Though I may have to prep the kids on what Aussie slang to leave at home. Last cruise my 13 yr old daughter was running down the hall with some friends and yelled out "stop, my thong fell off" - she couldn't work out why the girls were in hysterics until I explained to her that Americans call thongs "flip flops" & that "thong" means something very different in the US!

We've just confirmed our cruise date and although a bit late to the game cannot wait. I am a mummy to 3 and travelling with my parents for first ever cruise. Have visited disney Paris on many occasions and so excited to get onto the ship. This is a dream come true for all 6 of us.

Anyway just wanted to say hi and see if anyone could offer first time cruisers some tips.

If you don't get in on this FE exchange you can catch the next one on the next cruise. It took us three cruises to figure out what it was and that was only because I left a note in someone's FE holder and they actually replied to it. They left a message on my wavephone about DisBoards. I was so excited!! We have done one and it was fun!! Lots of fun and interesting things arrived each day. It was such a treat.

In the meantime, you still have time to find awesome graphics on a FB group I found called, 'Graphics for All Lovers Of Disney'! They are awesome but be sure to read the rules for the group and the rules each graphic designer has set. They will tag you once your design is complete. I print them on cardstock and laminate them. You can put magnets on the back and decorate your door. As a reminder, you cannot use any tape on the doors.

You can also get pillowcase character signatures. Buy however white pillow cases you would like to give to your children or as momentos for those poor unfortunate souls who can't go on the cruise with you. Buy a pack of multi colored Sharpies, place it all in a large ziplock bag with your Stateroom number and lastname on the outside of the bag and drop it off at guest services once you get on the ship. Your stateroom host/hostess will deliver it to your room once they are complete. I recommend buying a set of markers that have several color for Tinker Bell (Tink green), Mickey (red), Goofy (green), Cinderella (light blue), etc. It's fun and the kids love them. My parents even have a set from when we took them on the cruise and my uses them on her bed for decoration!!

Either way, if you don't get in the FE stuff, you will still have a blast!! Browse the disboards for all kinds of ideas like milk and cookies before bed, setting up breakfast room service for morning (put the request on the outside door by a certain time at night), etc.
