July 5 2014 Mediterranean Cruise Meet Thread

Booked this cruise on the first day of booking. It will be me, DD(13) and my best friend. This will be my 10th DCL cruise, and 4th time on the Magic. We are also doing the 7 night MED Barcelona cruise on 8/17/13. I can hardly wait.

my husband and are less than a month away from our June 27th, 12 night Magic in the Med Cruise, I was torn between booking that one and the 12 itineary with Greece, so when I saw this cruise on opening day, I jumped at the chance.

I booked on the first day too, but my DH keeps saying that it's only a maybe. Depends on how well we like our med cruise this year.

Sigh. I want to go back on the boat as a platinum and also with the enhanced magic!

We just booked this cruise while on the 7 day Alaskan cruise. It will be me and my Mom. We are seasoned European travelers but this will be our first time to Greece and turkey.

Our tentative plans is for us to fly into Venice a day earlier. We will hit our favorite haunts and stay in our favorite hotel. If anyone needs recommendations for Venice let know.

We are thinking of the same thing, my daughter is a huge Percy Jackson's fan. See whether it is feasible. We are 90 days away though. Price seems to be ok now. Hopefully it won't increase that much when I am on board.

We would definitely be interested in doing a FE. This would be our first time participating and we are excited about the idea.

I would be interested in hotel recommendations in Venice. We stayed there last year with our ABD trip and might just stay at that hotel again. We will look around first before we commit.

We want to stay at the Hotel Campibello. They are not accepting reservations until the end of August. When we go to Europe, we will use Rick Steve's guide books. This is a hotel, he recommended and it is great. It is just over the bridge from st. Mark's square and close to a vaporetti stop. It is also close to my favorite jewelry store

For the fe list, my mom and I would be happy to be the coordinators of it, if no one else has volunteered.

Hiya everyone, we just got off the magic yestoday and while on ship we had booked on the 9night in Venice!! so excited to see the new look of the magic! X

Stevens- you made me laugh. I was on the Alaskan cruise about three weeks ago. We booked this trip on that one. I did not even wait to get home to sign up for this Disboards. I did while waiting for one of our excursions.

It will be 2 for the Fe's. We would be happy to organize it!

I have already started researching for this trip. I am reading Rick Steve's and make my list. I did discover for Turkey you need a visa which you can buy at the border for $20. We are buying ours ahead of time.

you need a visa for Turkey? I'm going on a med cruise July 13 and I didn't get a visa! If you take a DCL excursion, isn't it covered?

Yes you need a visa for Turkey. You can purchase it at the border or the terminal where the ship docks according to the guide book, I read. As for excursion, I would call and ask Disney.
