July 4th

We will be at Universal for the 4th of July. Its our first visit and we are staying at Portafino. What is July 4th like??? What can we expect?

I called and sounds like each Resort is going to have some poolside things going on for 4th of July. They will have fireworks, but not a major display according to concierge.

We will be there on the 4th also. Staying at RPR. Not sure what things will be going on but the crowds hopefully wont be as bad.

We checked into RPR 3 days after the 4th last year. No noticeable difference in crowd at resort but the parks were slammed, even with FOTL perk it was very slow going. Seemed worse than what we experienced at WDW the week prior. My thoughts the culprits were the normal bottlenecks, bridge area to HP @ Islands, etc.
