We have been on the 4th of July. It is very, very crowded normally. I would recommend the Animal Kingdom first, Epcot second, and then whichever other theme park you wish to visit.

I will leave the restaurant recommendations to others.

I would not reserve a restaurant in a park that might close due to capacity - most especially not a prepaid meal (CRT). MK is probably the most likely to close for capacity. If the park closes to you, an ADR will not get you in.

we were thinking of trying hollywood studios for they day (maybe a fantasmic package)

thats the thought that scares me are we better off to just stay at the hotel lol

We've gone on the 4th of July three times and this year will be our fourth 4th of July.

Two years ago we ate at Rose and Crown and had a great patio table to watch the 4th of July Illuminations.

One year we had a TPV room at the GF and just ordered room service and watch the MK 4th of July fireworks from our room.

This year we're staying Poly CL and plan on watching the fireworks from the lounge.

We ALWAYS go to EPCOT on the 4th of July and it never seems too crowded. We do avoid MK on the 4th because I've heard horror stories about that.

I think any EPCOT restaurant would be fine - or if you plan on going to DHS 50's PTC seems like a good 4th of July fit!

we were thinking primetime for a late lunch and brown derby for dinner then to do fantasmic (which i have never seen!) :) nice to hear someone braves the day :wizard: our last trip we barely got to any rides at HS because of lines so we are hoping it turns out to be a better day

We went on the 4th once and really it wasn't bad at all, pretty comparable to regular summer nights. We swam in the pool all day (OKW), had dinner at Spoodles (was at the BW but has been replaced with Kouzzina), and then headed to HS around 7ish to ride some rides and see the fireworks. We chose HS because there isn't a regular firework show there (we don't consider fantasmic to be a firework show). We were able to ride a bunch of rides standby as well. All in all it was a great evening.
