Does this happen to anyone else??? My DH brings up the idea of a last minute getaway to Disney World for the 4th of July (just the two of us)… I checked, there is availability and when I told him the good news, NOW he complains of airfare, airport parking, & dog kennel expense but of course tells me to book it if I want! Now I’m not sure if I should or not & the longer I wait there may not be anything available!

Thanks for posting this question! My dh had asked the same thing the other day and I thought it would be next to impossible. Maybe we'll have luck since we'll be looking for the week before!

Wow, thanks for this post! I saw it, mentioned it to DH, and next thing you know we are going to be there too! 1 bedroom as SSR for July 3-6.

From previous threads, looks like there will be a large crowd of DVCers on the beach at the Poly for the fireworks on the 4th, we'll be there after our dinner at 'Ohana

Yep, we'll be there after our dinner at Kona! I wonder if it is going to be really crowded on the beach? Should we be concerned?

Wow! I'm very surprised that so many people are finding reservations for the 4th easy to get at this late date! Are most of you booking 1 bedrooms? I'm just thinking ahead for next year.

If you would rather avoid the crowds, SSR also has a wonderful view of the pleasure island 4th of July fireworks. Just head to the viewing platform at Congress Park, or any of the lakefront pathways with a view of Downtown Disney.

I booked a studio for the two of us...MS was extremely helpful redoing an existing reservation (I was a little short on points)

I made a reservation on May 28th for July 3rd-7th. I was so surprised when I was told there was rooms available. I asked for OKW or what ever they had in a 1 bdrm. So we'll be at our home resort @ OKW

We were just at OKW for Mothers Day weekend with about 15 people so dh decided we needed a vacation from that vacation......lol. Besides we're always the ones hosting the 4th of July party & we decided to do something different even if we made some people mad at us.......lol

I am very impressed with magical express online reservations! I entered information for my 4th of July trip on Sunday and today I received my luggage tags and vouchers!
