Hi all

I've been reading a lot about possible park closings due to crowds on July 3rd and 4th and wanted to see if anyone had first hand knowledge about this.

We will be staying on property and visiting MK on July 3rd and then Epcot on July 4th. We plan on getting to the part pretty early on both days but had also planned on leaving mid afternoon for a break / dinner and then returning.

Question: what are the chances of us not being able to get back into the parks after we leave?

Thanks so much for any first hand knowledge.

We did Epcot last year on the 4th. Flight got delayed so we didn't get to BC until 4:30. Headed over to Epcot around 6:00 with no problems.

We entered EPCOT last year around 7-8 with no problem. We walked through EPCOT to get on the monorail to MK and they were checking bands (I guess they were scanning them?) before we went up the ramp to board the monorail. We had APs so they let us through. The monorail ended up getting stopped so we watched the 4th of July fireworks from the monorail ramp in front of MK before going in.

Wondering about this too. Our first July 4th with Mickey and we have the same plan as you do...July 3rd at MK and July 4th at EPCOT.

Plan for now is to hit both parks around dinnertime. We are staying on property so hoping that at least if it's a closing that we will still be allowed entry.

You would only have problems at MK is you were going on the 4th. last year we were driving to Fort WIlderness around 10am on the 4th and the big signs were flashing all down World Drive "MK closed to capacity"

We were there over Fourth of July a few years ago. Magic Kingdom was at capacity, but open to resort guests only. I'm thinking you'll be ok since you're staying on property.

Has anyone ever seen it so crowded resort guests couldn't get in?

Also,OP is going to MK on the 3rd not the 4th.

I meant that we were there over Fourth of July, meaning 7/3 & 7/4, plus days before and after. There was a level 1 closing on 7/3 for a brief period of time, and it was at capacity on 7/4. I did not mention Epcot, because we didn't do Epcot either of those evenings. My point was simply that since OP is staying on property, they shouldn't have any issues at either park on either day.

Staying on property you will be fine, the last time MK was a stage 4 (closed to everyone) was New Year's Eve last year. And as far as I
Know Epcot never has (except maybe nye 1999).

We arrived at WDW on the 4th of July two years ago, and had no problems going to Hollywood Studios. Don't remember hearing that any of the parks were closed to capacity.
