We will be sailing 7 night western that sets sail on July 3, 2004. We will be in Key West on July 4th. Does the cruise or the city offer any type of celebration for this holiday?

Thanks!
Karen

My DD and I were on the Magic this past 4th. We were at Castaway Cay. No Fireworks but had a parade and that evening a celebration on ship with dropping of ballons and a party.

The Wonder had quite a celebration, with a very impressive fireworks show shot from a barge after we left Nassau. They also had a special menu in the diningrooms in addition to the regular offerings. We had a balloon drop, too, but it was on the last night of the cruise rather than on the 4th.

We were on the wonder july 6 to 10th.......and we also had fireworks on our nassau nite.

Was great to see them out at sea.

We were on the Wonder June 30 and no fireworks--wrong month I guess!
I'll also be on the Magic next July 4--I would imagine that Key West would have awesome fireworks, they are US after all. Sail away is after dark, isn't it?
