Will be arriving for a Disney vacation the afternoon on July 3rd, 2010. Was not planning on hitting the parks until the next day July 4th but didn't want to fight the crowds of the Magic Kingdom on the 4th so we will go to another park on that day. We are not staying at the Disney resort but we are staying outside the park near the Epcot entrance. Where can we go to get a good view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show on the 3rd if we are not going to be in one of the parks on that day?

I'm curious about this too, because I am arriving on July 1st.

You can always have dinner at the California Grill. That's what we did last year and it worked out wonderfully. Other than that, I'm not sure.

We tried to make ressies @ Ca. Grill today @ 180 days out and it will not let us tried caliing and no help on the phone ether., plus they do not know why. That was our plan so we could watch from there heard it is a great place to watch from.

I would think that you could see the fireworks from the Poly too if you had dinner there.Or eat at Whispering Canyons and view from the beach there.
Related ??- OP said they did not want to fight the crowds at MK then is Epcot, AK an HS less busy on the 4th??Which is the least crowded for this holiday??
We will be there then too.

It will be our first trip and I read about watching the fireworks from the Poly but how long do you think it would take to get back to BWK after the show?

We watched the fireworks from the Polynesian last July 3rd. It was a great time. A lot of people but still plenty of room. They also had the Electrical Water Parade Boats out with the music from the fireworks being transmitted from there so everything could be heard as well.

I highly recommend it!

Without a car you would have to get on the boat or monorail and head back to the MK for a bus and you would get caught in the crush of people so it might take a bit of time.

Of course you could just head out the front of the Poly or walk over to the TTC and grab a taxi from there and it would take little time.

we will be there this year for the fourth of july as well and not sure what we should do we are staying at POR and thinking about going to AK for the day b ecause I thought it might be less crowed but then heading over to magic kingdom for the fireworks but not sure if we would be allowed in if the park is full but I have been told because we are at a disney resort we will be allowed in no matter what any advise on this would be great. thank you.
