I have reservations July 3rd at The Wave and will drive over for the dinner. I was planning on staying for the fireworks show that they do the 3rd and 4th. It's blocked out as a date for the Top of the World Lounge as a DVC member. I was thinking of watching it on the 4th floor observation deck but since it's the special show I'm wondering if it will be packed there. Also I think they do fireworks over the lake and I'm not sure if they will be visible from the observation deck. Another idea I had was to just watch them from my truck in the parking lot but I'm not sure how well I can see them. Does anybody have advice for such a busy day? I'll be with a 2 year old so I can't just camp out and wait for hours for it to start.

I have experience from Poly on 7/3 but not CR, so can’t answer all of your questions (sorry!).

Yes, for the 7/3 and 7/4 shows they “simulcast/mirror” the main fireworks shot off from the traditional behind the castle location from an island in the middle of the 7 Seas Lagoon. This, plus “180 degree” launch points around the MK used in certain segments really open up viewing options from all around the 7 Seas Lagoon.

While I have not experienced it first hand, I would expect the 4th floor observation deck to be packed on 7/3.

If you don’t have any luck with the observation deck, I would think watching from our front of CR or some spots in the parking lot may work (won’t have any audio there).

BTW, and maybe I’m stating the obvious here, but take extra time getting to CR that evening. Traffic is likely going to be pretty stout.

Good luck!
