Anyone else going on this trip that would like to meet? We are a family of 3 and this is our 7th Disney cruise. We participated in the meet and greet on the last one and thought it was very nice to meet everyone If you're going and would like to meet up, please post. I'll be glad to arrange.

Hope to see you soon!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say that you will not be alone on the ship! My DBF and I will be along for the ride. We are both in our 50's - so, no children coming along. I'm the Disney obsessed - this will be my 8th Disney cruise. It's his first - I'm excited to see his reaction to all things Disney!

Thanks for the note. Glad you are going to be there too. Maybe we'll have some others sign in before we sail. And, I think if you're going to be obsessed about something, Disney is a good thing to choose!

Okay, wondering where everyone is. I'm so glad you responded "stingfancb" as I would question whether my post was working if you had not... If no one else joins, us, let's meet for a quick "hello" at least. Our "child" is 13, so we have that whole time where we used to have to go to the Micky pool upon boarding to do whatever...

We will be on this sailing too! Our 4th cruise with DCL and cant wait. It will be me, my DW and DD, age 9. 45 more days to go!!!!

We are thrilled to be on this cruise, it is my DH and DS's(age 7) 2nd cruise on the Wonder and my DD(age 3) 1st cruise. Hoping that my DD will get to see a lot of characters on the ship as she dresses up in her Cinderella costume at least 2-3 times a day.

Hello new folks! I haven't been on here for awhile but it's getting close isn't it! We sailed on Father's Day last year, so I was thinking about the cruise today and thought to check the blog. Do any of you want to do a meet and greet and/or fish extenders? We did both last time (Nov) and it was fun.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's!

We will be taking our first DC on the Wonder 7/30/10, my 3 yo daughter is a complete Disney nut! When we go to WDW she calls it her "castle vacation" I also booked us on the Dream for 3/6/11. Should be a great time.

Our 2nd cruise on Wonder, but I'm a newbie to this site, its lingo, and "fish extenders--?" Can't wait for July 30 and hoping we won't regret an interior cabin this time. :sad1: Do any cruise veterans know the likelihood of being able to upgrade this close to the sail date? Thanks.

Volsmom, you'll have ample opportunity to get your daughter to meet the characters; especially the princesses. A princess or two are usually strategically placed in front of Tritons before dinner. Also, on the last night of the cruise, most of the characters are out in full force on multi-levels of the lobby in the "Until We Meet Again" farewell (I think that's what it's called) for pictures and autographs.

Hello Disney fans :) I just heard about this site on Facebook today, so I am new to all of this. I've never done discussion boards before. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. Our first was in March. We have a DD of 8. We wondered how people got those pocket holders (Fish Extenders) and those cool magnets at their cabin doors. Can someone please explain how it works? We would love for our daughter to meet another sweet girl her age to buddy up with. She also loves to pin trade. Hope to hear from someone soon. See you guys in 20 days!!! :yay:

Hi, I am new and just posted, but wondered if you could explain how to do fish extenders? Thanks, can't wait to hear from you. We are also a family of 3. :-)

This will be our first disney cruise. It will be just me, my daughter and my best friend since my husband couldn't make this trip and he hates to fly. Received a call from DCL today advising me that I can upgrade from cat 11 (6fl)to cat 10(porthole view room 2nd fl). I felt so bad declining because I do not think I could handle looking at the water which might make me sick. Did anyone else get an upgrade?

There are a few links to explanations of Fish Extenders on the link at the top of the Cruise Line Forum titled: *** DIS DCL FAQ - New Alphabetical Listing of DCL Information ***. If you haven't checked that out, it is a great alphabetical list of almost everything you might need to know about a Disney Cruise vacation. In short, a Fish Extender is just a pocket hung by your door that folks who choose to participate drop off small items in throughout the cruise. You, in turn, drop off items for them -- small stuff, but thrills the kids and kids at heart. Usually those who participate do one gift for adults, and one each for the kids. We never particiapted until last time, thinking it would be too much trouble, but it was great fun. Let me know if this doesn't answer your ?. And, welcome!

Welcome! You should post your upgrade on the general forum. People always seem keenly interested in upgrades. I can understand your concern if you get seasick easily. I was once on a ship that rocked much more than the Disney one and I couldn't read my book facing out to sea as I kept seeing the railing move up and down whenever I looked up -- it was small for everyone else, but it made me dizzy and I still remember it... Anyway, hope your first Disney cruise is super. If you want to do a meet and greet or Fish Extender, please post. So far, we're not doing this, but now that a few more have joined, we'll see.

We are hard at work making our FE's and the goodies, so excited!!!! :artist: How do we know how many gifts to make, ages, rooms, etc? :-) :confused3 Can't wait to see you all on the cruise!!! party:

Hello again everyone,:)

Where are all the people on this cruise? I can't believe more people haven't joined up yet. :confused3 Only 2 weeks to go and we will see you onboard. Anyone else interested in FE's? We are almost finished with ours and I don't know who is more excited about it, me or my DD of 8. :cheer2: She picked out all the fabric (magenta and black zebra print) and notions. I just used Fabri-Tac to adhere everything. We are still making magnets. :woohoo: Wish we knew about DISers before our first cruise. Well, I guess if I don't hear from anyone, I will just put the FE out for decoration and bring some goodies just in case. :flower3: We are in SR #6323. Would also love to meet up. DD started pin trading on the last cruise, so she will be trading, if you are interested.

:wave2:We are also cat11 on 6th, but didn't receive a call to upgrade. I'm right there with ya, not sure that I would do it either. Get the patch from your doctor and put it on 4 hours before we set sail. I get very motion sick :sick:and it was my lifesaver last cruise.:yay: How old is your DD? Mine is 8, :littleangel: looking for a buddy for the kids area? She had a blast on the last cruise in March. See you in a couple weeks.:beach:

I would be interested in knowing everyone's cabin # and the children/ages in that room. While we won't be participating in a FE, I always take along some small goodies to place in random FEs. Just my way of spreading some :wizard:

On a different note - we just upgraded from a 9 on deck 2, to a 6 on deck 6 all the way aft. :yay:
