July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

:rotfl:
where to begin?
They are seperate contries, BUT collectivly are the UK. The UK is (largly) governed from London ( hence todays elections), but Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales have their own national governments (or assemblies in Wales and Northern Ireland) Different elements of government, such as health and education policy are governed by the local assemblies. Its more complecated than it needs to be. Lots of ppl in Scotland ,Wales and NI would prefer to be wholy independant (again...after 400 years of union!)
Todays election is for the Parliament in London. 650 seats are up for grabs....should be interesting.

and on that note, I am off to exercise my democratic right....:)

Wow that sounds so so American!:thumbsup2

Did postal vote! The school is a polling sation and judging on the number of people I've seen coming and going there has been a bigger turnout.
Certainly will be very exciting to hea what happens. I'm not staying up overnight though!

I love election night with Peter Snow and his Swing-O-Meter. Foolishly i accepted a days supply teaching tomorrow so I can't stay up all night as the seats come in. For the first time in ages I think it will genuinely be a surprise result, so many diferent predictions. DH and I are off to vote in about 20 mins.

Yes I know what you mean just familiarising myself now and lots to still catch up on :cool1:

Yes the idea of no long haul flight is a nice one especially with the volcano being so unpredictable :sad2:

Enjoy your planning and see you all onboard pirate:

Guess what, our daughter is doing a educational trip with school. We only recently find out that they're going to Dover: first with a bus from where we live in Belgium to Calais in France, then with the ferryboat to Dover, and there the'll go to the cathedral in canterbury. In the aftyernoon they have some free hours before going back to the boat and back to France and Belgium. They leave at 6 in the morning and will be back around 10.30 in the evening. She already can take a look at where the Magic will be waiting for us.... :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! It's been ages since i was last on here, but i'm getting very excited about the cruise! Only 12 weeks to go! I can't wait! :cool1:
After recently being stranded in Florida for 6 extra nights due to volcanic ash i am looking forward to a simple train journey to get us to Dover! Longhaul flights are off my adgenda for a very long time!

My in laws are flying to New York and then going on to Boston afterwards tomorrow and they are worried about being stranded now the volcano seems to be stirring more now.

I have to admit that I am pleased we don't have to fly to get to the cruise - of course potentially we might get stuck in Barcelona but by that time we will have at least had the cruise!

Happy Mothers Day- Here in North America at least.

Moving is hard work, we got most stuff moved into the new house, but I am off to the old one to clean up.

It is going to be a week of " do you know know where...?

If anyone knows what box my ipod charger is or the girls homework is that would be great;)

Lisa

I've also booked this cruise for my family. It will be our first disney cruise.
Our plans are train from Darlington to Dover on the 29th, overnight stay in the Premier Inn then 2 nights in Barcelona prior to flying back to Newcastle.
We consist of Mum (39), Dad (41), Thomas (7), Jessica (4).
I can't wait.
It's been lovely reading everyone's plan's:grouphug:

Good luck Lisa, just had to laugh when you said a week of "Do you know where..." We moved to this house in March 2008 and I STILL have boxes of stuff packed up and no idea where certain things are. To be fair we have been rennovating the house so lots of building work and rooms to be knocked through etc.. which is why unpacking has not been finished!

Welcome aboard! It is good to see someone with a younger girl in their party. My oldest daughter turns 5 in June so maybe she and Jessica might get chance to play together in the clubs.

I hope you will enjoy it lots being your first Disney cruise. We love it because it has a bit of something for EVERYONE. Loads of family activities, wonderful kids clubs where the children get to do so many great activities while Mum and Dad enjoy a little grown up time.

Anyway, welcome aboard!
