Is anyone staying in Vancouver either before or after the cruise? If so, where are you staying? I'm investigating hotels now and would love your input. Feel free to put links on the FB page, too. We have a lot of food allergies, so finding a place that can handle us is always tricky. Anyone else dealing with this?

Also looking to stay prior . I'd read a post sometime ago about flying to Seattle and taking train to Vancouver also read hotels are a bit pricey .

My mother in law uses Amtrak all the time and there is always an issue!!! I would be afraid of missing my cruise

I have asked for visa GC for Xmas, this way I can book my hotel and use the GC!!!!

We are going to try to be as mobile as possible & have a small packing list...

request info from Vancouver tourism office
talk to AAA travel agent
put phone on airplane mode when leaving
stop mail & newspaper
make copies of passport
wear swimsuit onboard ship
Tell credit card co. that we will be traveling.
trade for CAD$ before we leave

pick up alcohol day of cruise - Liquor stores only
Could fly into Bellingham - cost for train $27.50 ad.
If flying to SEA bus $35 ad $14 child

We are on count down - 16 weeks til our first DCL trip to Alaska.
We have booked our hotel in Vancouver - Delta Suites right near the train station.
We are ready to sign up for FE for 3 kids - going to check FB page now.

We will be on this cruise as well, with DH and DD (11). This will be our 2nd Alaskan cruise. Can't wait to see Alaska again and going on different excursions. It was pouring at Juneau last time we were there and excursion (helicopter ride with dog sledding) was cancelled due to weather. Hoping for better weather this time.
