I agree with Sallie (that's how my mom spells it ). I like E. Red and green remind me of Christmas before they remind me of Italy. I haven't looked at the style choices yet though. Would like to hear why people like one style over another.

I went to a trainer today. It was great! I actually like to work out - I can't motivate myself to do it though. Guess I need to pay someone and have an appt on my calendar!

This cruise was a gift to each other for our 25th wedding anniversary which was this past November, so although it has just passed, it is the main reason we went all out- also carley will be celebrating her 13th birthday 2 weeks after we dock, and my 49th birthday ( the final one before hitting the big 50- a week before we leave! The Phelan's have a lot to celebrate !!!
Oh yes- and making so many new friends!!!!!

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary VERY EARLY. It's not until Nov 98 but this is a dream cruise and it won't be available in 2008.

Well for the first time we miss celebrations on this cruise, for the last two our wedding Anniversary in August and DS Stephen’s birthday have fallen on the cruise, or whilst we are away.

My anniversary, and DS Birthday will be a couple of weeks after the cruise, in 2008, they fall within the 15 night cruise.

I haven't been on in months...trying to catch up with the reading...but not going well! I have missed a lot!!!!

We are celebrating the fact that we get to go on this cruise! My daughter turns 16 on 6/20 and my sons turn 13 and 14 on 10/20 and 10/25. My husband and I celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary on 6/11 and our 26th together anniversary in Sept. - we can celebrate those too!

We have cabins 2136 (cat 9) and 2139 (cat 10) - a bit worried about 2139, I've heard that it can be a noisey one - anyone know anything else about it?

We've been DVC members since 1996. We are using points for one of our rooms and paying for the other. We've been to DW most years since joining DVC - been to DL twice. This is our second cruise. Did a 4 day on the Magic 4 years ago.

My family is so excited about this trip! We are staying in Barcelona for 4 days before the cruise. After the cruise we are going to Paris for 4 days and Amsterdam for 3 - a whirlwind trip for sure!!

We are booked for Mysterious Palermo, Pisa, and Monaco, Monte Carlo and Eze. We also have a Palo reservation for brunch on one of the sea days - the reservation system is down right now and I can't check the date.
We have privates scheduled for Naples and Rome. I have a massage scheduled - I teach at a massage school (business class, I'm not a massage therapist) so I thought that I better check out their massages - info that I'll be able to share with my students

Well, this is way more info about me than anyone needs to know. Other than I am flexible on the lanyards and I'm not sure yet if we will participate in the grab bag - depends on what everyone decides to do - being from Montana, elk are very heavy and I'm afraid that our luggage will be over the max if we are bringing things for everyone

Great job on the design job Brian . You are making it really tough to choose. I might have to have a vote off of the top two since some people are giving multiple votes. We'll see how to voting goes.

Disney Magic in place of Disney Cruise Line might be an option to shorten the wording if the present example is too long. I will measure how much space we have on the samples I was sent but I'm guessing its about 10-12" that hangs after coming around the neck and clip at the bottom.

Please consider that the DISNEY copyrighted logo is being used on this lanyard. I tried to get hats reproduced in three different states only to be turned down by the engravers for fear of being sued by Disney.
The design is great and would be an eye catcher. Unfortunately, it would probably catch the wrong eyes.
Check it out with your vendor.

Our vote is with the majority.

I called the vendor (who has been doing the lanyards for the other Disney cruisers) and they said no problem. I will email them a picture of the design just to make sure there won't be a problem and see what they say then.

Wow, great job! We'll still take 3, and my vote is for Lanyard type #1, and Style A or E. The red & green also remind me of Christmas. I really like how E stands out, & I don't see many lanyards in black.

I think the big eye draw is the use of "Disney Cruise Line". We might want to change that to Disney Magic (still using "Disney" but not as bad as DCL) or just "Mediterranean Cruise - 2007". the other eye catcher is the use of mickey but we're not selling these lanyards and its personal use. We'll see what the lanyard maker says when they see the actual photo. But I still think we should sub something else for DCL. The use of a Disney font is not the problem from my understanding.

ETA: The lanyard maker just got back with me - they said no problem. They are ready to take our order. I still think we should remove the DCL on the lanyard and replace it with something shorter and less eye catching.

Don't mean to muddy the waters, but collaboration and refinement often result in a better product. With that in mind I have posted some new designs that incorporate the Disney font and most popular color schemes thus far. Plus one in black to mimic the CC lanyard. The font worked better than I thought. Still haven't mastered the HTML code, so here is the link...

Ok talk about muddying the waters! Your killing me Brian!

I like Option A and here's my reason: While I like the CC lanyard, from experience, I got more response from fellow DISsers and other people asking what my DIS lanyard was from than the CC one. That one was a turquoise like color and stood out nicely. It was a great conversation opener and instantly let other DISsers know I was one of them. I even had several people ask me how to get those. I then proceeded to tell them about DIS. One time on an excursions, I asked the taxi to stop and let me take some beach pix. Well, while I was on there, another Disney cruiser came running up to me very happy to see me. Apparently they'd forgotten where to pick their taxi up in the afternoon. She saw my lanyard and instantly recognized me as a member belonging to that large group (we had just over 300 DISsers onboard) She later told me that she felt comfortable approaching me as she'd had nothing but positive experiences with the others on board and felt she could trust me. ( I behave for those that don't know me!)

My concern: if we match CC lanyard, then we will have to take a second look or possible just confuse the two. I for one - like the thought of being singled out as a fellow DISser instantly!


Ok - Option A if your narrowing it down to these fonts but B or C on the other if that's the majority.

I agree with you - I don't like to work out and while I know that I'm throwing $ away - the only way for me to get results is to pay someone to chastise me - you'd think I'd learn better wouldn't you?

Anyway, my motivation to NOT miss a session? The $65 dollar charge for missing an appt. Thank God I only got 10 sessions! Well now down to 6
