We have plenty of time. I called the company and they were very happy to hear that our cruise isn't until July. So if there is enough interest (I need a minimum of 100 lanyards), then lets talk about what we want printed on them. We could just go with the badge reel if people want that instead. It has a belt clip. Ok so far I have the following interest:

Yep, only points payment in dollars and shipment costs might be high for uk? Ideas? and Casterway club memebers get a lanyard and it was neat as everyone says to you 'welcome back' first day.

Agreed, find a club in your area and find someone in the club to mentor and sponsor you. that way you have someone to ask questions and show you the ropes. Go to a competition and see what its all about, volunteer to work for half a day and immerse yourself in it and see if this is what you want to start investing $$$ in. This can be another expensive hobby or a recreational pasttime.

For the dogs, as long as they are physically in shape and not overweight, they should do well in agility. Agility is tough on the joints, so the dogs need good muscle support. If they have bad hips or elbows, then you need to be conscious of that and not jump them too high or do things that could make things worse. If you haven't got a good recall, sit and stay on the dogs, then you are better off going to a foundation or obediance class first to get this. Agility is pretty stimulating and you need to be able to control your dog for their and others safety.

For agility equipment, you have two choices: buy it or make it. Search the web for agility equipment. You can find plans to make it or you can buy it.

Hi Jeane (Fingers crossed!!)

While I love the idea of competing out in the open I'm afraid that ours would not be able to do it- well at least one would love it but as luck would have it - she is rather 'independent' and stubborn as all heck - she does things on her own. Huskies are notorious for their indendent streak. The other one - is not quite as slim and agile but goofy lovable which is why she's still around - NOT - she's my baby too!

They have been to obedience school and Isis came in 2nd lmao: ) only because she didn't want to 'stay' - she was more interested in smelling the Jack Russell that came in but she did it - albeit a little bit recluctantly but she can stay rather well now - especially when it comes to being fed!

I was thinking more for our house and just to give her some exercise - she loves to run up and down the stairs and flies over the couches in her excitement when someone is chasing her. I have a picture of her when she's staring out the window balanced on the back of the couch like a little billy goat - I usually explain Isis - she's my B & W one - "I have a dog that looks like a cat that acts like a billy goat that hops like a rabbit!"

Yup - that abouts sums it up for me - so to recap - I would just love to expose them for our/their benefit - might be another alternative to walking since I can't walk as fast as they want. Although I will take your advice and attend an agility show - they look like such fun! Thanks for the tips!

Oh yeah - will post some pictures of my babies soon - they are spoiled - you'll see!

Count us in - We are a family of 5 - not sure if my sons will "play" along/use them - If they hold the key thingy well, they might use it. (we were not crazy about the ones DCL provides - we had to pin it to secure it, which made it annoying anytime we wanted to use it) - so we ended up using different ones.

Ok this one loaded - the story behind this (groundhog for Andrew) was I came out of the shower and noticed that Ms Diva Dog had found her spot - the good news is that this is DH's side of the bed - she won't touch mine unless I'm on my side. (I tell eveyone she knows who top dog is ) Didn't I tell you she was smart?

Ok here is my bed hog - she was mad at me cuz she couldn't go outside right at the moment. I was making the bed and was making her wait so she waited until I put the 2nd blanket on and I'd turned my back to get my bedspread when I turned around - voila! There she was in all her glory - didn't move until I forced her to move - so I relented.

Did I tell you her pet names? Isis is her given name, Ms. Diva Dog is her spoken name and when I'm mad - Devil Dog or Pepper whichever one is more appropriate.

FYI - She is rather small for a Husky - she fluctuates between 37-39 lbs depending on the season and try as she might she cannot gain weight - we've tried everything. We believe she may have been the runt or had some type of infection as a puppy (she fainted once into the pool as a puppy - my son 'saved her') although this dog - believe me was spoiled from the day we got her - can you tell?

I'm just seeing if there is enough interest to even place an order. Once I see enough interest, my plan is to ask/vote what people want exactly, what it should say, what color, etc. I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona to pass out. ok - this one was taken yesterday as she was pouting cuz I shut the window shutters on her - she loves to look out at the kids as they are walking home from school but some kids love to tease her and she gets her feelings hurt when they do -

I really think someone forgot to tell her that she is a and not a human!

This other one is my ghost dog - Chloe - she is so lovable but shy and skittish - while I bought her from a pet store - she was on the verge of being returned - she was 4 months old when I got her. Her brother had been sold in the first week and she was alone and picked on by the other dogs - so I call her my rescue dog - it took about 7 -9 months before she was somewhat comfortable hence my earlier comment on that when faced with confrontation - she runs - she's good with us but fears strangers - she's mostly ok with male dogs but is still cautious around the majority of them. Her pet names are Ghost Dog and or Salt.

I know not a good one - she is not very photogenic but is beautiful in person! Trust me - her gentle nature is more suited for a quiet household but she craves human contact and/or dog companionship.

My son messing with Chloe - now she really is invisible!

I'm just seeing if there is enough interest to even place an order. Once I see enough interest, my plan is to ask/vote what people want exactly, what it should say, what color, etc. I was thinking of ordering once I get everyone's payment and bringing them to Barcelona to pass out. So cost should be around $2.50 to $3.50 depending on what we choose. Here is a link to some samples.
