Alien Earth

I've only watched the first episode so far but I'm really enjoying what I've seen. I wasnt expecting much, but the first episode really impressed. A lot creepier than I was expecting!

I'm intrigued with how it fits into the wider Alien timeline too seen as its set a couple of years before the original film.

Just finished the second episode, very much liking it.... def. hits the creepy tense vibe.

Spoiler Just to be nice, but if you watched the first two you might appreciate this...

I like trying to figure out the different artificial or enhanced humans and what they can do. Do the Aliens respond to synthetics or androids like they do humans?

From what happened in the second episode with Morrow shows that aliens respond differently to cyborgs. If that had been a human they wouldn't have survived! I feel like synthetics as well would be of even less interest to the aliens than cyborgs as there's no physical part of them thats human and thinking back over previously films, I can't recall a time when a xenomorph killed a synthetic that wasn't just getting in its way. Of course we can see how Kirsh gets on!

that was my thought too, that being synthetic humans they would not be attractive to the xenomorph aliens .... but this ship was carrying more than just the xenomorphs we have been used to, and there are new species we have not seen, or at least I do not remember and they may behave differently, like the eye octopus alien that attacked Nibs, so maybe that was a sight thing as the eyes/vision seem to be the focus of that creature after the poor cat.

so far there are the traditional xenomorphs.... the carnivorous cockroaches.... and the eye octopus.... did I miss any others?

I wonder how many have escaped the ship....

True although I think the little critters will be the least of their concerns 😂 those cockroach/leech type things are rather disturbing though.

I dont think there were any others shown overtly. I think there may have been some others in the tanks but nothing that was shown properly.

What I found rather odd was the stalking behaviour shown by the xenomorph(s)? Especially in the second episode there seemed to be a few instances where they were very clearly following or close by but showed not interest in killing anyone. Which seems unusual.

I thought I remembered they could be sneaky when it suited them

the slaughter though without creating host is a little different than I remember

I will say... I hope Boy Kavalier gets a xenomorph friend sooner than later... yuck he is my least fav character

I think to me this seems like new levels of sneakiness. Or maybe its just cause its creepier than I was expecting!

And yes, I really hope Boy meets a rather nasty end at some point. The whole Peter Pan thing is a little creepy.
