Your not kidding, lol. Only because I am off. I was planning on running some errands this morning - oh well, will have to wait a few hours, perhaps right before I pick up my daughter.

I want to call DCL today - I want to know if we should be expecting a brochure soon. I want to know if times listed on website say 7 am to 5 pm, is the 7 am time of arrival at port? Will excursions start at this time? Just curious since a lot of the excursions are 7.5 hours and more. Our early dinner might/might now work - will need to discuss with Wendy. I would also like to know when they mention lunch or grab a lunch at a local restaurant, some of these lunches might/might not be included with excursions. I am sure I will think of another 20 questions before the day is over.

Another question i have, does DCL know when formal/semi-formal nights are? Too much to think about/plan. :confused3

If anyone has any questions, please post with the answers you receive just in case we might be thinking the same thing.

Prices came out in the estimated range I was expecting/thinking - I think that's good

Had a quick look at the shore trips and they are what I expected generally and the prices in the range expected. I had looked at a lot of trips on other ships in the med and they look the same.

My question is to confirm we are not tendering in at any port as that effects what you can do, I have presumed that we are in port on all of these.

In most ports I have booked my own trips and with a familiy of four and converting only from Pounds to Euros it appears to be cheaper than DCL's which they have converted from euros to dollars and then I loose again bacvk to sterling, even though our exchange rate is prity good againts the dollar at this time.

:cheer2: Just wanted to say that my son's passport arrived today - all is good to go now - finally. I can call DCL next week and give them his #, expiration date.

RE YOUR POSTS ON THE THREAD IN THE MAIN FORUM no holiday planner for UK guests
I have to agree the only place Disney lets you down is treating people from non USA countries in a less equal way. I cannot see how they can say we cannot get a 'holiday planner', this year for my 2006 Caribbean cruise I had a planner, and list of shore trips etc. This was sent well in advance of the 90 day mark as it told me when I can book trips Palos etc.

I have had many issues in the parks before where Disney let down UK guests, DREAMs had a long battle with Disney over transferring a reservation to the free Disney dinner plan, they wanted to refund on my credit card and then take a new deposit which would have lost me a lot on exchange rates for example.

I could well pay 50% of the DCL cost and have a higher grade cabin for a Med cruise in 2007, I pay and book with DCL for service, not being treated in a different way because we are from the UK.

As DCL doesn't directly advertise in the UK, and only a few travel agents include their cruises, we must not be their 'target' market, funny when a lot of the CM's on the ships seem to be from the UK, including Cruise directors.

If its on DVD, we could have a printer version, although most DVD's nowadays can be used in different countries

Okay - you can go after the holidays and the post office won't be as crowded - is that okay? No - seriously - you should go soon - it can take 4-6 weeks if all is done right and you need to give DCL the passport info. 90 days before sailing - leave yourself some room and when it's all done, one less thing to worry about.

3 dogs Helen? Will they be in a kennel when you cruise? Friends/family? I am so worried about our new "addition" - pappilon - when we cruise. Two weeks is a long time to worry about her.

Merry Christmas everyone and a safe, happy and healthy new year.

Sorry you guys can't get the planner out there.

Ben is a 5 yr old border collie. We compete around the country in a 'flyball team'. He is ball mad and has lots of energy!!!

Floss is 2 and a blue and white border collie. She is a little tinker to say the least. In 2007 she will start competing alongside Ben.

Normally when we go away we have someone stay in our house as we are not keen on kennels - We do miss them though when we are away!

Happy New Year to all and just think - we are going to the med soon ;)

Very nice pictures Helen. I remember now - you did mention before in your posts that you compete with them. I doubt it very, very much we will put ours in a Kennel. I am not sure if I will have two different families take care of her (one week each). We shall see soon.

This reminds me - how many cruisers are there in this thread/forum? We don't see many of the here.

Happy New Year to everyone! Any day now and we can say this year we are cruising the med.

HI ALL!!!

Been a while since posting here. Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! Life for the Ferlmann crew has been insanely chaotic...youngest DS,4th grade, on an intramural basketball team and keeps stats and assists the coaching staff at practices for his older brother's school team. Then there is our middle...a DS, 6th grader...he is also on an intramural bball team as well as the school team. Dad is the volunteer coach of both. Then our DD, a high school Freshman, is playing on the high school Freshman basketball team. WOW...high school sports are much different! YIKES! Could anyone out there explain to me, why the coaches have to belittle and degrade the kids once they hit high school. Wouldn't that be the time you would want to build them...take the opportunity to make a positive difference in their progression? Oops...just a pet peeve!

Anyway, we are so excited to be planning the excursions and all! Anyone know if there would be excursions that would be good to go through DCL and others we could do on our own?

Well...looking forward to getting to know you all again. By the way...HI HELEN!!!!!
