Have a wonderful vacation in WDW...wish I was going!! We really enjoyed our Western cruise several weeks ago...it was so neat talking to all the cast members thinking and preparing to go to the Med.

I hope your vaction will "hold" you over till July....I know ours will!! Have fun!

Looks like the excursions are getting ready to go on disneycruise.com. When you click on Ports of Call and then click on Mediterranean Ports and click on each individual port, the PAGE NOT FOUND comes up, like they are adding something. They said Dec 1st!! Tomorrow!

I can't wait til they come out so we can start planning/discussing these ports/excursions. Most importatnt, we can do some serious budgeting - even though I have an idea.

Andrew - how are you? I read on another thread that your wife has been in the hospital. I hope she is well/okay and out. A speedy recovery to her.

Andrew. I hope your wife is feeling better.

My dd, Kelly, & I are going to WDW for the weekend - there is a mod party we'll be attending on Saturday, and we're taking advantage of being in Orlando & will be going to Epcot/MVMCP on Thursday, and MGM Studios on Friday. We'll probably check out the deluxe hotels. I've never been to them, and we'd like to see the decorations.

We're also kind of firming up our plans. We'll be flying in to Paris on the 22nd, and visit there, as well as DLP, and then take the train to Barcelona, on Wednesday night. My ds will be flying in on Friday before the cruise. Little by little, we're getting our plans done.

Has anyone checked out the www.disneycruise page the last few days? No excursions yet, but lots on new info....really neat to read. I can't believe I am really doing this vacation!!

Andrew, what is your wife's name? The kids and I have been praying for her, but if we knew her name we could pray more specifically. If you need an specific prayers, let us know. I asked Gretchen and she has not been talking to your daughter too much. Next summer is a lifetime away for a 10 year old, I guess!!

How much do you think the excursion in Rome will be? What type of time do you think it wiil cover? Where do you think it will go?

My cousin went last year on a cruise round the med, and took the excursion to Rome, all I know was she left her ship @ 7am and did not get back till 9pm. She said it was very good but exhausting!

Hi all,

As the excursion info is set to be released mid Dec, it has got me thinking.

I have back problems and cant sit in the same position for long periods of time. Unfortunatly that means Rome is a definate nono for me as the coach trip to get there is at least 90mins each way , then the walking around.

I am hoping that when they release the excursions that they will have some short ones eg half days. (fingers x)

The one thing I would really like to see is the leaning tower of PISA - Does anyone know how far PISA is away from the ship ??? Hope its not more than an hour away.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located 57 km from the port of La Spezia; too bad we're not using Livorno - Pisa is only 19 km away. Typical tours from the cruise ports include the Baptistery and Campo Santo, but not necessarily admission into the 54-m (180 ft.) tower. And, you are absolutely not allowed to post until you have this taken care of.

This reminds me, I should go see if I can check the status of my son's passport. I think I did this once on-line before. Hopefully all is good
