no, no im fine other than pink eye, allergy and sinus season-

I just that Im worried about the high summer temps Ive been reading about in Italy and France during the summer months and further reading about the lack of central air conditioning:eek: Jimmy will be carrying me throughout the excursions I think ,as I pass out from heat exhaustion:upsidedow

my central air is my best friend in the summer months here - and we rarely reach 90 degrees-

Ill be filling up our excursion cars with hundreds of water bottles:rotfl: There may not be enough room for alice ,stephen and carley:dance3:

sallie

Helen, I will take your advice:thumbsup2

I think the car/van will keep us cooler, we can of course stop for a break if we want, its ok if you are sensible, Pompeii is my guess of heat, but remember the vatican in Rome is inside and cool. Naturally.

I went to Rhodes Greece last year, far far hotter and we were all ok, just took it easy.
You will benifit from air con in the car/van far better than a coach, and there is less warm bodies to warm it up.

Alice and Stephen will just say, Dad ice cream please!!!!!!

Not sure if you all have seen the transatlantic posts and threads, dont worry, but the Magic is in heavy seas, large waves, and the crew deck is reported to be taking in some sea water and the crew have to walk through it to their mess.

Reports Cptn Tom is speeding up to get to Canaries quicker.

I did see this - but I acted like an ostrich -

stuck my head in the sand and pretended it wasn't happening.:rotfl:

I get motion sickness - glad im not in those waves !

I had a best friend who's name was Lisa - does that count? :lmao:

Well, now you tell us - guess I still have time to cancel right??? :thumbsup2

This is DH - :faint: and me  :headache: not exactly in that order

ANDREW!:sad2: Please don't encourage them - I'm just trying to catch up to the person in front of me - and now I see that Helen has joined in.

You all don't want me to cheat also do you? :rotfl:
I know tut tut to much single line posting in a row, Heat, be aware of it, dont panic, its less ''humid'' than Florida, its a dry heat, prepare, think about it, dont panic.

Hats, water, sunscrean, be slow, lots of Italian Ice cream!!!!! thats really good for you, in Italy it hasnt any calories at all, and doesnt effect your BP. I know that for a fact ( if you cannot see, my fingers are crossed)

Its the same as the deserts on the Disney Magic, you can have two or three and you will not put weight on!! ( fingers still crossed).

I only wish this were true!;)

Last year I chose the sugar free deserts until after formal night was over (to make sure I could still get into my dress!)

I have the new copy of the passsporter next to my excercise bike and I read it whilst peddling. (Dont worry I have one of the long exercise bikes (recumberent (?) ones for people who need more back support. I can ride hands free without falling off !) I am upto 30mins now:goodvibes

I feel exactly the same way - today I think my allergies have been the worst - not sure if it's because I was off and decided to do some weeding (but only for 1/2 hr.) - the back can't take too much either :sad2:

I like my air also - I think we might have to splurge and get the case of water with dcl - I can't see any other way of getting it. Do you think we can buy it near port? Is it worth it? How expensive is bottled water in Italy - I know soda can be expensive - not sure about the water though.

I know for myself - as I get older, I have less patience, tolerance and heat is starting to bother me. Will definitely bring a baseball cap or visor or something - maybe one of my dvc caps they gave out on our last cruise.

Glad to see you Andrew :)

Water, you can buy on ship, its a bit expensive,
The port would sell, maybe a little less than DCL.
But away from tourst shops, it should be lower, I find value places all over.

Could buy some in Barcelona before getting on.

DITTO THAT ANNA!!

my allergies are horrible today- and I have a sinus headache to beat the band - another thing that has gotten worse as the years go on

my heat tolerance is definily getting worse as I age- I remember sitting out in the sun for hours on end with baby oil no less, when I was younger!!!!

now- Im happy if I can last an hour in the full sun before running for cover inm the shade

Hats- plenty of hats!!!!- maybe we have gotten Dis Hats made up:laughing:

DCL do a water bottle special, I have seen it at many 'hot' ports. Some people save their water bottles and refill on deck 9, at soda stations.

But water is not that expensive to worry.

Glad to see you are back Andrew!

I've heard that you can fill up your water bottles out of the fountains in Europe - that will be a fun "kodak moment!"

I love my new tag
Thank you Tag Fairy......Thank you also to the kind person who called it initiative...although I wouldn't play cards with me:rotfl: :rotfl:

Now I'm sure I was cheating, but I think this 'lisa' business is a bit sneaky....

okay I'm sorry I'll play nice now I just couldn't resist:lmao:

(apologies to all of our Lisas, its all lies except the poodle!)

Theres a strict LISA on the Disboards she is the Cruise line moderator and usually is on the 2008 repo thread. She might pop over here soon!

Hey Helen, I finally found a way to get Keith a little bit excited I gave him the website to track the cruise ships, he loves stuff like that and now every night when I get home from work I get a position update!!!
I feel he's actually getting excited about our next cruise.

Oh No!!!
I'll be good I promise, it's not my fault it's the people I mix with every day the 11 year old humour and tricks just rub off on me 'onest gov
