Almost forgot ...

Good news! Our passports arrived Monday. I couldn't help but laugh to see that they had been shipped FedEx priority for Saturday delivery. But we weren't home. I guess "When it absolutely, positively must get there" the State Department doesn't trust their own USPS.

Four packages. I wonder how many tax dollars that cost us?

Our children's passports came last week also Fedex. I was very relieved!
Glad you folks got your passports!!!!!! What a relief!!!

Quite here tonight, I am off to bed, C.U. all Tomorrow night.

And I go to bed on
10,000 posts

Wow Whee!!!! Congrats Andrew!!!!

Congrats on the pirate: Harole Ann!!!!
And Congrats on 500 posts Izzi!

Just a short check in tonight.

I have had many family problems and most likely will not be able to post much before our trip. I will try and stop by when ever possible. I am hoping my family issues do not keep me from going on this trip. It has been a very difficult several weeks.

On Sunday I will post the final list for nametags.....I think I have everyone's except 4kittymagic from Las Vagas      I am afraid I do not know you as I have not been around much. I will send you a PM

My DS17 and I are off to VA Tech Monday and Tuesday for freshman orientation.

I will have the nametags done this week and off to Jeanne.

I am bringing one family bag to the DISmeet from DC/VA.

Take care all and if anyone thinks I should know something, please send me a PM.

Thanks to all,
Lisa

Lisa,
We are praying for you. Try to think positively, I know it's hard, believe me I know. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Congratulations on the Pirate pirate: pirate: pirate:

I'm so glad you got a lock for the gate. Princess Jasmine may have liked her little adventure and you don't want her to try that again.

How did the game go?

Sandra

Jasmine does not need any more adventures!:scared1:

Yesterday's first game was a disaster---tournament director gave us no rules until we pitched a boy for 2 outs in the 5th inning and then said we had to forfeit because the boy could only pitch 4 innings---of course we were ahead by 3 runs! Funny how he all of a sudden came up with the rules that ds had asked for all week and could not get from him! Talk about one mad coach! Second game had better outcome as Chad was winning pitcher and knocked in winning run for his little minor league team to win their championship, so that added a bright spot to the day.

Today Chad's All-Star team lost, but we will be shocked to see them in the win column. Chad is a good sport, win or loose so that makes it worth going to his games!:cool2:

The travel team starts another tournament in Pittsburgh in a few days! Just can't stay away from it! Maybe I will take the laptop so I can keep up with things!:dance3:

and just so you all won't miss us..

The shirts are from CafePress.com and the image was borrowed from DISboards and then modified slightly in photoshop to accomodate our names.

When I showed these to the DW she rolled her eyes but seems up for it. I'm not usually into matching clothing but for this occassion it seemed appropriate. :woohoo:

DISsample.jpg

Where did you get the logo for the Tshirt. DH will NOT go for the lime green tshirt but I like the logo for our fish extender.

Sandra

I borrowed the logo from this thread and of course thanked them.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1385778

Very cute -- although I'm with Sandra's DH -- I wouldn't wear the Dis green (sacrilege, I realize!). Did I dream this or at some point were we trying to get a group shirt together from Cafe Press or somewhere with a small logo on the front and all our tags on the back?

One thing for sure, Princess Jasmine won't go anywhere tonight! The fireworks have her scared to death!:scared: . She would not even go out last night because the neighbor's grandchildren had fireworks in the next driveway and everytime she started to go to the bathroom there was another "boom"! I don't think she thinks her back yard is safe after dark!:headache: She ran inside and went under our bed!:sad2:

I posted the link to the logo a while back, and am still planning on doing a shirt. Don't recall who is working on the tags for the back....

We are going to try our own iron on from the logo, I think. I took a copy of the logo to my local sport shop and his printer could not clean it up good enough to print and would have to send it out and with all of the colors it was going to cost me about $50...didn't think I wanted to spend that on a shirt, so we will try our own iron on! Anyone know about the back?

As the rockets red glare litterly seem to be coming in all directions toward my yard, and my poor dog refuses to go outside, I am taking a glass of golden sherry and heading toward the bedroom to watch TV and try to lure a frightened dog from under the bed. She does like the smell of wine, so that might work!!:woohoo: ...A dog with good taste!

Good Night, Sleep Tight! Disney Dreams to all!:cloud9:

Hi Lisa,
Many thanks and another family sending prayers your way....

Does anyone have any knowledge for me regarding the Amalfi Coast? We would like to do something as a family and really enjoy the scenery. I am going to contact some of the private tour people also.

I haven't been able to access the DIS since last night. I had to shut everything down & then start up again (grrrrr)

It's almost 21:00 here in Los Angeles & the fireworks are going on all around me. Happy Birthday, America!

Okay, just finished catching up! I haven't been on since yesterday afternoon, it must be a record!! :goodvibes

Anyway, I just finished preparing for the BIG FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION!! Believe it or not, as much as I know it's a matter of national pride...................I'M REALLY EXCITED THIS YEAR B/C MY DD22, will be in town for the first time since Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've been down to see her but she hasn't been home in SO LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG! :yay:

We're having a barbecue on the beach for about 20 people which is a lot for us.....I hope I don't forget anything tomorrow!! Thx to all the well wishers!:cloud9:

I am starting to feel the pressure of the upcoming trip.....between now and then............my DD17 has to go Rhode Island and Maryland for college showcase soccer camps.................we are meeting with our DISfriends in NYC to see Mary Poppins................we are seeing "THE POLICE" in concert in Philadelphia..............I think that's everything, oh yea, and we have to pack and get ready for the trip....................:dance3:

Hope all are well for the "holiday" and hope things stay quieter "across the pond!"
Sounds like a really nice way o spend the day!

Nick & Kelly have spent the day w/their friends, & I'm enjoying some "quiet" time at home (well, as quiet as you can be with fireworks going on all around you).

I just realized that we leave in 3 weeks.:scared1:

For so long I've thought it was such a long way off and now there is only 3 weeks and I think I have alot to do. Now I have to make a list. I'm not even sure where to begin.

So I'll think about it tomorrow.

Does anyone have special plans for the 4th? We don't have anything planned. WE've been going non stop so this will be a day to relax.

Happy Independence Day!!!

Sandra

It's getting closer!!!!

To all in USA

Happy 4th Of July
Thank you

Your Vacation begins in 23 Days

:woohoo:

Kylie yesterday, now Catherine Tate is the new co driver of the Tardis on Doctor Who for the full next series. Are you bothered?
Um.... I don't even know who Dr. Who is! :upsidedow

happy fourth of July everyone!we are on our way to do a little shopping and I am writing this from my car with my iPhone .I was at the beach yesterday and I was able to read the posts!!! I can't believe it.

I have to figure outhow to make my post pink and use my smilies.

Harole ann I am so happy princess jasmine is ok !!:)
How cool to be able to use your iphone like that.

Happy 4th to all..................we need some sun today!!!!:goodvibes
The weather people had forecasted a really hot day today, but we were slightly overcast. I live relatively close to the west beaches in So Cal, & could see that there was a marine layer there for a good part of the day.

Not posting much - we have company. But I have been lurking, trying to keep up. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July. The weather here has been awesome all week. Tomorrow we leave for 2 days at Yellowstone. Once I get back, time to concentrate on the cruise!!

Mary Jo, do you remember what your packing list update included? I already downloaded several packing lists and am combining them to make my own.
Have a wonderful time in Yellowstone. Someday I would love to go there.

Packing list - the latest items I added were the converter & adapter. I meant to include travel alarm clock, but haven't yet. Is there anything you can share with us that you've added to the list that I probably missed?

Great Picture!
I agree. Wow, to think that we'll actually be at St. Peters Basilica...

:faint: I'm back but just barely. The dog show is finally over, but I need to get all the paperwork sent in tommorrow. So alot of sorting and fixing ahead of me still. Went to a doggie seminar on jumping. Very good.

Someone will need to update me on whats been going on while i was gone.

In the meantime:

The lanyards have arrived! OMG, the box weighed 10 lbs! The lanyards look great:thumbsup2

All you have to do is wear them all around your neck....hence no excess bagagge :rotfl:

Thanks, Kyla, for getting these for us. And Izzi... :rotfl:

Now I have a 'big' post count coming up!!!!!

Quite here tonight, I am off to bed, C.U. all Tomorrow night.

:grouphug: Lisa -- You're in my thoughts & I hope that things resolve themselves so that you can enjoy our vacation, but more importantly, I hope that they're resolved & you have peace.

I posted the link to the logo a while back, and am still planning on doing a shirt. Don't recall who is working on the tags for the back....

Aurora1959 is working on the tags & the Mickey image for the back of the shirts, or for our doors, etc.

Harole Ann, - I was just lying in bed thinking of the you in the USA and was wondering how Princess Jasmine would be coping with all the fireworks.

I appreciate how you feel. Our dogs hate fireworks too - well if you think their hearing is 50x better than ours and I jump when a banger goes off.

The main celebration when we have fireworks is Bon fire night (Nov 5th) although people tend to set them off earlier and earlier. This year it we had fireworks around us everynight for 3 weeks.

Our Old dog Sally (14) was sadly very affected. She would sit in the house and shake. She then preceeded to spend a month walking into tight corners and spaces. Strangely and bumpin into things constantly. Our vet was worried that she was not gettting enough Oxygen to her brain -but after tests we all put it down to the fireworks. It took just over a 2 months for her to settle and get back to normal.

One thing that helped -and might help you is a DAP plugin.
Have you heard of them - DAP stands for dog appeasing pheramone (SP)

Basically it looks like a airfreshener that you plug in. However the scent is not perfumed -infact humans cannot smell it- When a b has puppys she releases a scent that comforts and soothes the puppys - that is what is in the DAP.

It really helped our dogs -Im sure you'll be able to get them in the states.
