Evening:-

Thank you all for comments re 10,000 posts.

Late tonight, had to take DD to hospital in London, and one tube line is out re a derailment of eight carriage's.

Congrats on Minipirate:

We heard about it here. What a mess. Is your DD alright?

Maryann

Julie,

Did you get a new tag about the Tag Fairy and Yorkville? or did I just not notice it until now?

Maryann

TICKET STAKES!!

Who will be the first to get their cruise tickets and what state will it be,?

Who is going to have a guess, who will be the first person (honestly) to get there cruise tickets!

I punt for London, unless we have another Postal strike.

Me or DisneynutinLondon Izzy!

any other bets? Maybe New Yorkers??

I already had that one, Maryann . . . I got all my tags from participating on the 2008 repo thread.

DD it was a check up following an operation on her ear earlier this year, and to see if we should have the other one done, the repaired ear is really good but we are going to delay a year to consider the other one. So if you see her near pools she will have ear plugs etc.

TUBE

We have two lines out to us the above ground commuter services and he central line, that goes near my mums.

A train of eight cars on the central line hit an obstruction on the line, 9 from engineering work last night, and six cars came off, in a bang with smoke.

After the events of last week, and last year 7/7 (anniversary two days) people panicked.

But quickly London Underground confirmed it was a maintenance issue.

The central line a tube, is very crowded at peak times, the line is now cut in two and will be out some time as the train is underground, near a station called Mile End.

The overground service therefore is taking on twice the passengers at this time being the alternative, and trust it to happen when I am down London.

Shes had that a while.

I must have been in dreamland:cloud9: .

I'll make a guess that you folk across the pond will not get them first, you seem to get everything later than us. We New Yorkers never get anything early, we're fairly low on the list too. Hmmmmm........ I'll go with........

ARIZONA!!! Only because I feel so bad for them in the horrible heat wave they're having. (Sorry California and Las Vegas - I do feel sorry for you, too!)

We should probably try to figure out who got their castaway club cards and DVD early, maybe that will give us a hint.

Definitely not London! Probably not New York, either, since our post is not that swift. I would guess someone closer to Florida?

Hopefully it will fix soon. Good luck with your commute.

Yes, the ear tubes help most of the time. I hope she'll be OK on the trip. Will they give you some meds to take with you just in case it flairs up?

Glad the one ear is healing well -- I remember how worried you were for so long regarding DD's graft . . . too bad about the Tube but at least it wasn't terrorism . . .

Well my logic is that they did sent the overseas one out first for the 2005 Repo and I got mine the same day as some people in USA, so if DCL use the same logic I am in with a chance, but we have a few postal strikes coming up.

Your Vacation begins in 22 Days

ps

the Repo in 2008!

Your Vacation begins in 408 Days

The crazy thing about your repo count down is that the day will come that we are counting that one down under a month, and it won't seem to have been so long since we were doing this one . . .

Thanks, I was very worried about her op as it had a knock on effect elsewhere, (I think you know) I will not post here.

But all worked out.

Possible then . . . not here, though -- so much post comes into such a small area that our mail is always a little delayed from anywhere else in the US.

Yes we are still over a year away from that one, and that thread is already at 65,million posts.

and Verandah man is not on the cruise, snags a pirate, and has one of the highest post counts.

I must be going down the league on post counts there.

Yes, but as you said, all's well that end's well . . . and in the end -- all is well.
