My birthday is July 16th- my last hurrah before the big 5-0:scared1: I was so excited when I found out Jimmy was getting me the new iphone, but I would rather have my beanie!!!!!

Andrew- are we climbing the tower at Pisa? I think if we are we will all have great place to take off from- I am sewing neck ties onto ALL our beanies so when we hold hands and jump- they will not fly off our heads--- we should have the best view from soaring above...
are you getting that Mary Poppins feeling yet ??????
I told you I was a genius !!

Have to say I am no too sure or not if we climb the tower, we will be going to Florence first and Pisa in the afternoon, but as you can fly in your hat there isnt any problem.

Early Happy birthday then!!!!!

Pre- Meet BBQ.... Maryann, Anna, Wendy, Julie- and anyone who can come- let me know if July 14th or 15th is a good date for a get together bbq.. I live in Garden City, exit 17 on the Southern State Pkwy- about 25 min from Manhattan ( without traffic, which is only from about 2am-9am) otherwise in traffic, it can be about 45min to an hour).

Must wear beanie hat- and bring travel size pre- rolled TP- preferably pink:thumbsup2

July 15 would be better for us -- and my oldest daughter won't be here, but that's fine -- I would just bring my 12 and 10 year olds. Let me know what you decide.

P.S. Don't count on me for the beanie propeller -- I'd much rather observe Andrew wearing one than wear one myself . . .

TP I could definitely bring. By the way, did anyone other than me go to the special Charmin bathroom in Times Square over Christmas/New Year's? If not, I have to tell you about it and mybe even post pictures (yes, it was definitely picture worthy).

That's cool, Helen -- what kind of dog competition (sorry, I know you've probably said elsewhere)? It is show or obedience or field?

Hi Julie,
We compete in a flyball team.

Thank you Tag Fairy for the great early birthday present !! I love my tag soooooooo much!!!!
Jimmy is again a little jealous because I WAS MORE EXCITED ABOUT SEEING MY NEW ANIMATED PROPELLER SMILE, than the new iphone he is getting me !!!!

Hi Sallie,

I really, really want to thank you for doing this and extending the invite. We have had something every weekend (yesterday picnic for my dd's end of year track party) - today - another story will post on new thread.

I can definitely tell you right now that we are invited and have of course replied to my parents - they are having their second annual block party. I am not sure about the 15th - need to check calendar.

Very close friends of ours invite us for a weekend in July also every year down the Jerey Shore - I have a feeling we might have to skip that also this year.

I also cannot believe that a week from tomorrow I will be in WDW with my dd. I am so not reardy for this.

Today -

I have my papillon "Sasha" for a little over a year and she is 1 1/2 yrs. old. Training still in progress. We are getting there but slowly. I wish she did not shed also. She is small though - only 10 lbs. and mostly white (sable on face and back near tail.

My ds's girlfriend went into a pet store two nights ago and fell in love with a cocker spaniel and purchased her. She is only three months. Guess who is watching her today while her and my ds are at work til 6 pm? Since she wanted the puppy, she is trying not to leave her home w/her parents or grandparents (rents) too much.

Do I really need this? :scared1: She is adorable but it's just beginning to get easier with mine and now I am babysitting - they have way too much energy for me.

Anna- I know how busy the next few weeks will be, if you make it that will be great, if not- dont worry- Im glad we had our mini meet in SI!!!! Go to the Jersey Shore- the summer is so short, you will get everything done, and when September rolls around, you will be sorry you didn't go. I have Just begun to think abut what Im taking- I must start shopping and making a list-
All kidding aside, I am really worried about the heat, so Im looking for cool clothes. I will be carrying a light sleeved shirt, and maybe one of those wrinkle free skirts that I can roll up in a ball and put in my bag for the churches. I just cant bear the thought of wearing anything with sleeves, or anything below the knee with the heat everyone is talking about- I will faint, propeller or not!
I do hope you will be able to make it, but if not- we will get-together on the ship!:grouphug:

P.S. Don't count on me for the beanie propeller -- I'd much rather observe Andrew wearing one than wear one myself . . .
Great Juilie- I will let you know- I like Sunday Too. WE will be in Manhatten on Wednesday- seeing Mary Poppins!!!:cheer2:

Hi Julie,

;)

Helen, I love the pic of the dogs- does one of then have a bandage on its leg?

Wow - I can't wait. I want to be there so bad. I am already thinking of when we would be able to go back and we have yet to go.

Helen, I love the pic of the dogs- does one of then have a bandage on its leg?

Its not a bandage as such- I have to put vet wrap on the front legs and then ontop of this the dogs wear stopper pad protectors -pieces of leather with sheep skin backing fastened round with velcro. It proctects the dogs stopper pads and dew claws. They run at such speed over the jumps, that when they arrive at the box, they skid to stop and press for the ball. If they didn't have the proctection they end up taking the pads off. Mine have done this in the past and would have carried on even with thier pads bleeding.

The dogs really do enjoy it.
If you look at this page there is a short video that explains better what its all about.

Ok quick update on yesterdays swim meet. Josh scored 3 PB's out of 5 races. As a bit of an incentive I give him £1 for every second of PB he gets at each meet....so last night cost me £8 of PB money. WTG Josh :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:[/QUOTE

Congratulations to Josh

HI everyone, I've been gone for a couple of weeks and the amount of posts is staggering and I don't think I'll get to read them all so if this has been covered already thanks for being patient with me. My question is this, do men and boys have to wear long pants to tour the vatican? Are blue jeans OK?

It's getting exciting now!

penny
