How and when are we getting the t shirts? I have a feeling that I may have missed something about this (and never did manage to go back and catch up after the cruise with my 10 year old). Neither I nor my girls will be wearing anything remotely lime green (sorry!) but we are usually easily recognizable since my oldest girl has red hair, the middle blonde, and the youngest is a brunette. I have said this before on the Dis and right in the terminal always have people come up and say "Are you bellelinus?"

Thats because you are a legend in your own lunchtime, plus I have your photo up on page one, however if Cherie Blair is on our cruise , people might be confused.

I never posted a picture of myself on the Dis until fairly recently -- there really aren't too many women travelling with three daughters that age with that different hair color. My girls think it's strange when someone comes up and asked if I am bellelinus, but they will just have to get over that.

Cherie Blair? Must be the sunglasses in that picture from Puerto Rico . . . well at least you didn't say Laura Bush!!!!

When we went to Rome on the 6-6 cruise, it was HOT!! And we all wore shorts for the morning excursions to the collesium, etc. We brought clothes and changed on the bus for the vatican!!! But this is a plus of having your own private tour where everyone knows everyone!!! I think they are ok with just having your knees covered, but we did experience being told people could not enter places because of dress!! For example, in Florence, one of the girls in our group had her shoulders exposed and she could not enter the duomo!!! So my thoughts, better safe than sorry, you never know what kind of day the person might be having that you might happen upon, and you do not want to give them any excuse to not let you in!!! With the crowds that we saw, oh my, well, my nerves would be strained to say the least. It is absolutely crazy over there and if you have never been, maybe New Orleans at Mardi Gras time before the hurricane might be a good way to describe the crowds, but I am not even sure that would do it justice. So...patience with americans is probably not something I would count on!! So short of it, wear clothes that leave no room for interpretation!!! Pants/skirts and sleeved shirts.

My birthday is July 16th- my last hurrah before the big 5-0 I was so excited when I found out Jimmy was getting me the new iphone, but I would rather have my beanie!!!!!

Andrew- are we climbing the tower at Pisa? I think if we are we will all have great place to take off from- I am sewing neck ties onto ALL our beanies so when we hold hands and jump- they will not fly off our heads--- we should have the best view from soaring above...
