Thank you for your kind remarks... I was (after all) just swinging by to taunt the sprinters and hoot for the leaders! I'm a bit of a nite owl = and just by pure chance I noticed the sprint was due!

And with that thought in mind I tip my hat and bid everyone a pleasant weekend!

And now if you'll excuse me - I'll gonna return to my regularly scheduled diversions - and return to my current cruise meet thread... the EB Aug 08 repo....

Wish we could be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

hey guys! i started my cruise cleaning today. i would say the house is 85% clean now. hopefully i can keep it up so i won't spend hours before the cruise trying to straighten up for the dogsitter.
My house is 0% clean right now.........I'll start tomorrow...........:confused3

I have been assimilated and become part of the SPHB!

:lmao: A picture is worth a Thousand Words! :lmao: :thumbsup2

i didn't wake this morning and say, ooh i need to clean. wait, i say that every morning and i still don't do anything about it. i woke up this morning knowing that possibly one of my friends might be coming over and i can't let her see what a pig i am. so i was up bright and early cleaning. i still have more to do, but you can come in a sit down without moving something aside.

don't hate the player, hate the game.:snooty: i did :laundy: too.;)

My sister loves to tell me - Don't Hate - Appreciate!

Congrats -now to get started with mine. :headache:

On a side note - this always happens to me - we were coming back from lunch when we saw a warehouse sale on luggage. Anybody heard of the Ricardo's of Beverly Hills?

Well they have this awesome piece that I just saw in Sam's Club/Costco. It was a 12 # rolling suitcase with a built-in scale on it. It was about the size of a 26-in regular suitcase. Anyway, they were selling it for $110 +tax. They had it on sale for $60.

I got a 4 piece light pink set for $40. They were selling it for $60 this morning but as they were getting ready to close - they were dropping the prices. They also had a rolling duffel backpack which they were selling for $30. I didn't get that one but a couple of people in line did get them.

I bought 2 small rolling 'computer cases' in the brilliant color or red with a padded slot for the laptop and wider slot which may fit my camera and accessories. I've been looking for a combo suitcase roller thingy that might work and I believe this might if I can get past the 8" width on Iberia. This one is 10". I'm hoping that the travel agents don't notice especially if I have someone stand back and away. What do you all think?

Anyway, those pieces were $20 and then on the way out I found an elite computer style with 3 zippered slots and is a bit tougher. The problem with it? The zipper compartment which housed the retractable handle was sticky. Someone had returned it. Since all sales were final I asked - how much were they selling it for. The "guard" said - oh I think they were selling for $20 (keep in mind I'd just bought 2 red ones for $20. But the man then went on to say - but I think they can sell it for $15. I then kinda picked up on the fact that this may be the man to deal with. So I asked - how about for $10? His reponse? Elise - sell this item to this lady for $10! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now, I can go and return about $250 dollars worth of suitcases to Marshall's!

Good thing Marshall's has a return policy! :)

Did anyone notice that the DIS has banned the letters C O M so that none of our images work? VERY WEIRD!

i just noticed. i was reading sandra's post, thinking why is she using ***. weird.

Anna-!! Dont you think us New Yorkers ought to stick together- where is your sense of honor???? I expect you and your family front and center with NYC propeller hats, holding a miniature Statue of Liberty, dressed in lime green, and waving at least one roll of TP in the air- :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Too funny, lol. I can just picture it.

HI everyone, I've been gone for a couple of weeks and the amount of posts is staggering and I don't think I'll get to read them all so if this has been covered already thanks for being patient with me. My question is this, do men and boys have to wear long pants to tour the vatican? Are blue jeans OK?

It's getting exciting now!

penny

Welcome back Penny.

What about my 19 yr. old? Are cargo shorts below the kneew okay? I don't want him to look/feel out of place. Perhaps I should also order him a pair of zip-off pants :confused3

Glad to see you back, Penny!:) Call DCL again and tell them you have received nothing. The things they are going to send you two weeks before the cruise are your cruise documentations. Did you ever get the DVD? Everyone on the boards was talking about it and I did not have mine so I called and they tried to tell me they sent it to me in February!! :confused3 . I know they did not send me a DVD in February so they sent me one addressed to me and about 2 weeks later we get another one addressed to DH with our reservation # on it! Sometimes you just have to call and nag them!! You know, the squeaky wheel gets the grease! Give it a try.:cutie:

Thanks for the info Harole Ann, I haven't received anything from them. I've called twice and they said they didn't know what booklet I was talking about!
I'm calling the Vacation Club, is that who you spoke to?

Thanks for the PS info, I was also planning to take my girls there the first day we are in Barcelona -- on top of jetlag, I don't want them to have to be experimental with food as well! We will probably go for a late lunch on Friday the 27th.

Now I know when to book!

OK that was a quick ketchup, after the last few days of high posting.

GOOD MORNING

HAVE A GOOD SUNDAY

Your Vacation begins in 33 Days

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Just booked a private tour of Pisa and Lucca....this means we get to climb the Leaning Tower :cool1: :cool1: and I booked our tickets for the Leaning Tower as well
