hey guys! i started my cruise cleaning today. i would say the house is 85% clean now. hopefully i can keep it up so i won't spend hours before the cruise trying to straighten up for the dogsitter.

Slow down though - my mom bought me a plaque which I adhere to strictly - housework makes you ugly! Don't you have a or to do before you clean?

I haven't received any information from Disney...when did you get the Med pre cruise stuff? I've called them twice and they said they won't send it out until 2 weeks before the cruise.

LOL - I was at DL and bought one - I was going to buy 2 but they were sold out! Guess there are a lot of "older kids" out there!

A few weeks before the 90 day mark I received a booklet from DCL.

i didn't wake this morning and say, ooh i need to clean. wait, i say that every morning and i still don't do anything about it. i woke up this morning knowing that possibly one of my friends might be coming over and i can't let her see what a pig i am. so i was up bright and early cleaning. i still have more to do, but you can come in a sit down without moving something aside.

Glad to see you back, Penny! Call DCL again and tell them you have received nothing. The things they are going to send you two weeks before the cruise are your cruise documentations. Did you ever get the DVD? Everyone on the boards was talking about it and I did not have mine so I called and they tried to tell me they sent it to me in February!! . I know they did not send me a DVD in February so they sent me one addressed to me and about 2 weeks later we get another one addressed to DH with our reservation # on it! Sometimes you just have to call and nag them!! You know, the squeaky wheel gets the grease! Give it a try.

LYnn, I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt, it's good you got to see her. I do hope your inspection goes well. (I can't remember what it was actually called) I know they can be very stressful. We have accredidation (sp) reviews and surprise lock down drills that send my heart racing.

Harole Ann, thanks for the TP tip at Walmart. It will save so much time rolling.

MaryJo and Andrew, thank you for keeping the information and pictures on page 1 updated.

Crash, too bad you're not coming with us you have a great sense of humor.

Sallie, I love the propeller hat but does it come in a pirate version? So glad you have come up with an alternative to Flashing, although seeing the Popes expression would have been priceless.

I know there is so much more but my memory isn't what it used to be between cleaning supplies and paint fumes and of course age.

WE are so excited about this trip and meeting all of you.

We leave in 33 days!!


We had company last night 12 people for dinner. It went well and now the house is clean just some to catch up on.

I love having company because so much gets done. I work much better on a deadline.

Now I can concentrate on packing and planning for the trip.

AND of course keeping up with the Dis.

Thanks for the PS info, I was also planning to take my girls there the first day we are in Barcelona -- on top of jetlag, I don't want them to have to be experimental with food as well! We will probably go for a late lunch on Friday the 27th.
