Hi all - we are looking forward to joining the Med cruise on July 28th.

Brief introduction:
Our names are Mark & Heidi Smithson and we hail from the northern burbs of Chicago. Our daughters (7 & 9) will be with us. We booked this trip about a year ago. We have a cat 8 room on deck 5 (5516), right near the relevant kids' clubs. This is the 2nd sailing on the Magic for the 4 of us. Our 1st trip was during Christmas 2005 (a last-minute decision, when our planned vacation to a resort in Mexico was disrupted by hurricane damage). We had a wonderful experience on our cruise, vowing to return.

Pre-trip, we'll be spending a few nights in Seville, Spain (visiting Heidi's host family from when she studied there during college), then a night in Barcelona. Post-trip, we're spending a night in London.

We're in the process of planning non-Disney excursions. It's quite an undertaking. Fortunately, the wealth of knowledge on this board makes it easier. So thank you!

Our flight is scheduled to arrive at 9:15 am - once we get our luggage and dcl bus/shuttle is ready - we are going straight to the terminal.

Hi Anna - don't feel bad - I didn't know either. Its only hard the first time but once you do it - you'll have lots of fun. I post to photobucket too and it allows other to see any albums you might like them too. I had to have my oldest DD show me SEVERAL times before I got the hang of it. Now, I'm playing around with cropping it but I think I have to crop it before I upload. I'm having problems with my camera software and it being locked but photobucket is alright. Also, you can upload to the DIS photo site and take it from there.

Anna, if you don't have a digital camera, you might be able to scan in the pictures and save as a .jpg file. Then you can upload to photobucket.

It's worked fine for 2000 years so I'm sure there'll be a solution found before we visit!Sending them some pixie dust anyway...

I wouldn't want to be the guy responsible for the damage- can you imagine owning up to that??

Well, that's a yikes, but hopefully, they'll fixit within a month.

As I read the post trip reports, the common theme is not so much the excursions, or the food, or the activities- its the resounding joy that the DIS feel having traveled with their DIS friends, many of whom have never met. Throughout most posts you read over and over how much better the trip was because they had such great people to share the experiences with- how the after dinner times were more fun because there were more people to dance with, talk , to, share stories with etc. You can almost feel how much they miss each other already- I know Ive said this a thousand times, and I know I will say it a thousand times more- I am so happy to have met all of you- and I cant wait to meet all of you !!!

... And most importanly.... I know I will never be without TP because one of my many new friends will have a mini roll in their purse or pocket-- what more could any DISer want !!

I love this!! Can you imagine walking in Rome someplace & a fellow DISer chasing you down for your TP But, I'm sure we'll all be prepared after this list.

So at this time there are 35 numbered staterooms available still on our cruise, reasonable chance of upgrades, as they are still selling CAT 12 GTY's, but do not have any availability so some must get an upgrade.
