I think it is a "man thing". :confused3 Did you ever watch how they can load the suitcases in the trunk of the car when you are sure they will not fit!
DH can pack it like a jigsaw puzzle everytime, so I just sit back and watch!:wizard: Why ruin a good thing??
Again, Crocs are very lightweight.........everyone should bring a pair, they're also very comfortable for long walks!

I've been keeping an eye on this for a while now. The pricing has been holding steady. Curiously, the room availability has been fairly steady as well - I did some more research by experimenting with the site on a distant (Nov 2008 off-peak) cruise.

It turns out that the list of rooms it displays is just their view of "the best" available staterooms. There's a checkbox below that allows you to check the availability of any other stateroom.

So the 35 numbered staterooms available actually represents a minimum number of available staterooms. The actual number may be greater.

Regarding the category 12 - I don't think they EVER show exact staterooms on the web. On the Nov 2008 cruise it just showed GTY for category 12.

The real question at this point, given that so many people downgraded to category 12, is what strategy do they use when upgrading? Do they upgrade as many people as possible to the best categories available (risking leaving all the category 12 cabins empty), or do they upgrade people as little as possible, leaving the category 12 cabins full?

And what criteria do they use on the upgrading? We know they consider number of people (in that anyone with 4 in a cabin must be upgraded to category 11 at least). But do they consider when you placed the reservation? How many times you've sailed? Whether you have future bookings? Whether you're planning to bring your own toilet paper aboard or expecting to sneak theirs off the ship for excursions?:rotfl: :rotfl:

Does anyone have any insight regarding the mysterious workings of the gnomes of inventory control?
:confused3

Racheal the CD of the Magic ( often and on my Repo cruise in 2005) spoke of the DIS on many of the events sailaway and first night welcome in the Walt Disney T, and Casterway club and obtained a mighty response. Bruce in 2006 didnt say much, I do not think he is still with DCL, and the first Med trips have Racheal ( From the UK)

Racheal, whom I love, told me she will be doing the first few Med cruises and then she goes off contract and someone else would end the Med and bring the Magic home.....not sure who we will have....hopefully Tacheal, if we get real lucky!!

Yes why???

I had the same thought there is a limit of 25 pictures per post, I think we can do it, its easy to find that way.

I would have to chop the Port pictures or post on post 12.

Let me know if you need my help to do this Page 529 post 7933 has all of the IMG's that could be copied and pasted...
Lisa

I heard that our CD will probably be Brett?:confused3

Please add to page 1.

I will now "abandon ship" on post 7933.

Sandra,

How did the meeting for your son go this AM. Hoping everything went well.

Maryann

Maryann,

Is that a new tag? I like it.

THanks for asking about the meeting. I had originally posted the details but then decided to delete it. The meeting went as well as could be expected under the circumstances.

Sandra

I worked an extra 4 hours tonight........last day tomorrow!!!

WOW - JoAnn - The TF  you. Well either that or your just giving her lots of ammo! :rotfl2: That is too cool. Your are now and forever AKA the Provider - for more than one reason! :lmao: Congrats! :woohoo:

Did I get fired from my picture job??:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Isn't that just like a man Lisa? Well, that's good that you can step aside and assauge the man's ego. Its not like he doesn't do anything else around here! :rotfl2: Just kidding Andrew - this wouldn't be such a nice thread w/o all you UK'ers here. Oh - And your family is beautiful too!

My turn: Andrew this thread would be nothing w/o you! We could never do it w/o you! :worship: :worship:

OK that's all cuz if Julie finds out I'm fanning the flames - she'll kill me! :rotfl:

Maryann,

Is that a new tag? I like it.

I have a question for anybody and everybody.

If one in your party is not with you upon check-in, can they check in later?

Here's the situation. And sorry to bring my scandals here but here's the situation. Remember several weeks back where I asked for prayers due to scary home situation?

Well, that problem has sorta resolved itself. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on who you ask, my oldest DS will not be travelling with us. We have gone round and round about it and it really saddens my heart that we cannot travel as a family. But I finally broke down and acted the adult and extended an olive branch which was denied. So actually this is a good thing because now it absolves any guilt I would have felt from leaving him behind. (Not to mention any possible - ok not possible - INEVITABLE fights with the older two). My son has chosen to not be a part of the family which is something that most families will go through with any headstrong young man coming into his own. So now, we are a family of 4 with a BFF. However, since today was the last day before getting a 50% penalty, we are in the process of finding a replacement to take his place. DD20 has a friend that wanted to go but due to differences with DS, she did not come with us originally. Now, she is trying to get the time off.

The problem is that she will probably not be traveling with us there and possibly traveling back alone on disembarkation day. If we, as a group of 5 instead of 6 check in, can that be done? And maybe possible have her check in later? Or do we all have to check in together? We are possibly looking at getting Disney transfers as she is a young lady of 20 also and we don't really relish traveling to the airport on embarkation day. OY! Can you imagine? :faint:

If anyone has had this problem or experience, I would greatly appreciate your opinion. I know that at PC, FL, DH drops us off while he returns the rental while I proceed to check-in with his passport. However, since the girl is traveling she is using it. Can we do a staggered check-in?

Thanks for letting me air out guys. This is one of the major reasons that I was just lollygagging away at the boards these last few weeks. I was trying to DIS-tract myself with funny, witty, DIS-tractions. Thank you for all the laughs you have all provided me at a time I really could have used it.

Thank you and now maybe you all can understand what having you as a 2nd family means to me. You were there when I was down.....wait - isn't that a song? Bette Midler????? Wind Beneath My Wings?

Sorry - I was getting sappy and had to lighten the mood.

Thanks for listening guys. :goodvibes:

Laura

I took a cruise a few years ago with four other friends & we shared a cabin. They all got to the ship hours before I did, and I did not have any trouble checking in.

I would think that DCL would handle it the same way.

Hey MJ! Thanks! I was kinda hoping something like this would be possible.

Thanks for the  I kinda got choked up typing the post but at least now things are resolved and I took the ball out of my court. I am guilt-free!!!!!! ;)

Actually, I just returned from Chili's where I had the Guiltless Chicken Platter which was only 580 calories. (OK - so the Carb count was high - 85 grams but hey - that was a concession on my part! ;) )

So technically - you can say that I am guiltless. :lmao: :rotfl2:

Oh Laura, I am sorry that you have to be going through this. I hope for his sake he will realize the error of his ways before he gets too old and the wounds between him and his siblings gets too deep. It sounds like you are doing the right thing. Best to you.

I got through the 16 year old bday party - lots of food left over, towels to wash and a headache to nurse - but it went well!!

On our way to Great Falls tomorrow for softball. I may take my laptop with me so I don't get too far behind. If not, have a great weekend all!!

OMG! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The TF has been busy! My "quirky quirks" has been replaced with TP! :lmao:

Sorta like the song?....

That's a great one - it was about time for you to be tag updated - right??

Hey Carrie Aurora1959 - you still out there?

Can I have my TP tag on the t-shirt instead? :rotfl2: At least then I can explain and have proof that I went to the Vatican! :rotfl:

:scared1: Oh Lordy - I hope that Sallie didn't get a flasher tag - would hate to see her have to explain that one. :lmao: :lmao:
