PS we did 1,700 posts on this thread in the first 12 months to the ends of April, (actually thats nearly 13 months) we are now over 12k, an increase in ten thousand in the last three months!

It would always go through a lull, it started off so fast, but we are still a year out, so as you say fun but little planning at this stage, it will become more relevant and pick up next year and more people who are lurking will joining.

This thread didn't move a lot for a long time, until the introduction of the pirates and then suddenly took off, I would check back but I think it took a year to do one or two thousand posts.

It's funny how some threads take off and some don't, the Aug. 8 Med thread I was on from april 4 2006 until I switched to this one in May 2007, rarely had posts and still has a low post count as the trip comes up.

We had a blustery, rainy day on the East Coast and we had a barbecue on the beach in sweats..........it was quite an adventure!!! Sorry about your drought!

No rain from May to October isn't drought - it's normal. As for drought - we're always in some degree of drought or another, depending on location - California's water distribution system is... well, it's evolved back from Gold Rush days which means it basically is totally illogical and political.

I was just looking at all my summer clothes today...........trying to get organized and see what we need...............I guess we need to bring an item or two if it's blustery at night as well?

I thought I was going to be the last one to organize their clothes, but I am happy to report that they fit!! ...not nearly as happy as dh who would be crying if I said "go shopping" again! Just don't know why he would not be all for that fun adventure! I actually tried everything on tonight and decided what to wear & when! Now, try to fit it in the suitcase . At least these are summer clothes, so they are lighter in weight...that is one plus!

Trying on? Trying on? Hmmmm... what an interesting concept.

Seriously, I was at Mervyns the other day and actually did try something on (they didn't have my size and I wanted to see if one over would work - it didn't), and all four of the men's fitting room stalls were full. The two guys in line with me were equally astonished - we had never seen anything like it before.

Everyone knows that when buying clothes you just follow the size on the label. If it's too large wear a belt. If it's too small, suffer and complain about it. No need to actually try things on.

Many people must feel that way, since even with steep discounts I don't think it's close to selling out. Even without the extra entertainment I think it will be an adventure, though. And after the crazy pace of the preceding 3 weeks, a slower pace will be welcome.

This is my 2nd post YEAH!!!
It's very hard to keep up with you guys!!!
I admit it - I'm a lurker I don't have a computer at home so I can only check on your chats while I'm at work... Anyway I am SO excited I can barely stand it. I'm driving everyone I know crazy - all I talk about is getting ready for the cruise, shopping for the cruise, packing for the cruise etc etc etc. I'm driving my husband crazy because every day I come home from work with some new printed off info... packing list, travel tips, airline baggage limits. I read the blogs on allears.net and I can't wait to experience Italy and France.
