July 28, 2007 - "Rome-ancing the Mouse Cruisers" -11 days! Part 2

Hi everyone!

I've only read the past couple of pages, so there is a bunch to catch up on... Kind of reminds me of the days when there would be pages and pages after a couple of days -- how fun was that!!

Love the idea that you all are getting together in NYC for a post-cruise DIS Meet. Wish I could be there, too, to join you. It sounds like it's going to be a blast!

Things here are well. The kids have been going to school, and will be getting jobs. So, they're on track. I just got back from a long weekend in Yosemite w/a couple of co-workers and we had fun there. It was so beautiful!

I'm going to go catch up, but wanted to take the opportunity to wish all of you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Mary Jo! Of course we may be having our own little LA Dismeet soon . . . Have a great holiday.

Good news to those attending the Dec. 8 NYC Dismeet . . .I just read that the "Disneyland of bathrooms," the Charmin experience in Times Square, did re-open on Nov. 20! Believe me, this is a photo op tailor made for this particular group . . . we will stop there after John's and before we take a slightly more dignified photo op at the Rockefeller tree . . .

OMG!!! This is too goo to be true!!! A Charmin Photo Op!!! We should call Good Morning America for this meet- I think we are such a great news story !!!!

Thanks to everyone for Garry's birthday wishes! He had a very happy day.

Your New York plans sound so wonderful and remind of an ornament I got for Jan and Howie for Christmas which says, "Good Food, Good Wine, Good Friends". Now doesn't that just sound like us?? I know they will appreciate it!

I will be anxious to see your pictures and will send you Disney pictures.

Hopefully the next time we will be able to join you on a get together. I don't know when we have had more fun on a cruise....thanks to all of our new friends!

Morning Jo- I will keep dad in my prayers today- its funny how bittersweet the holidays are the older we get. You have the joy of all the hustle and bustle, decorations and gifts- and for many as myself, there is a thin veil of past memories spent with family who are no longer with us blanketing the joy somewhat.What I wouldn't give to say Merry Christmas to my parents one more time.... but life goes on, and we go with it-

I am spending the day at my godmothers in Staten Island -close to Wendy and Anna. The traffic is a nightmare, so we are leaving early and coming home late. We almost went in to the city-to see the parade, but I didn't enough baking done yesterday, so we're not going.

Anyway- take care and again, dad is in my prayers

I stop by and try to read/catch up here and there (I don't always get the email notification, on-going thing).

MaryJo - glad all is going well with you and your children.

Joann - prayers being sent your way for your dad.

Andrew - I am not sure what is going on health wise - but needless to say, hope all is/will be well.

Harole Ann - will be sending you a pm any day now.

Too much going on here w/Gaspare and w/work right now. I have my good days and bad days unfortunately. I am happy to hear everyone's good news though and trip reports on these boards - it's a great distraction when I need it. I get through the day by telling myself that things could be much worse and appreciate our blessings.

Things move soooooooooooo slow and it is very frustrating to say the least (drs, appts., calls, paper work, etc.). Gaspare will be going in on Tuesday for another catherization and hopefully all will be fine. He was not himself after the first one (sore, black and blue, etc.). Another reason why we cannot commit to the dismeet in NYC. I really hope things will go back to normal within a few months. Like Wendy said, I hope another time in the near future.

We will be spending Thanksgiving at my mom's house and I hope everyone has a great one. Drive careful and stay healthy.

Thx Sallie I really appreciate it.........my dad is in the hospital today instead of with all of us, I saw him this morning and picked up Mom..........keep us in your prayers, I'm sure he's fine, but of course, it's hard.

Andrew - I am not sure what is going on health wise - but needless to say, hope all is/will be well.

Thank you, I have a rare blood 'issue' which is being investigated, the anomaly can cause problems elsewhere in the body. It investigate, I will have an investigation on my bone marrow on Monday.

This is to see why its producing blood with a anomaly in certain parts, its it causing this or reacting to something else.
