Sorry folks,

It was a hectic weekend. Lunch and picture at the tree sounds perfect. It is easier for us to come into the city early. This way we can be home early in the evening because of my mom. It's been a real challenge lately. Anyway, anything you decide is fine with us Julie!

Can't wait to see everyone!!!!

Maryann, I will definitely see if I can get us a reservation at the Rock Center cafe for late lunch-ish -- if I can, I'll go with that . . . you can't beat the atmosphere there.

I'll let everyone know what I can do and then we'll set our plans. Right now I have Sallie plus DH, Joann plus DH, Maryann plus DH, and me -- correct?

Anyone else in before I try to get the reservation???????????

I'm on the pirate zone now . . . so does that mean I'm out of trouble or is such a thing just not possible????????????

Andrew will send a limo for you and put you up in his guest suite, so plan to stay in London for a long, long time!

Your daughter's foreign study plans sound wonderful . . .

The main guest suite thats available has a name on it, it says Garden Shed.

Its nice, its in the Garden and has a nice view, but people have said the accomodation is a bit Shed like.

Shed- like . . . sounds great!:thumbsup2

Of course I'm sure you would take the shed and let Joann have your room . . .

While basking in the warm glow of having not only won a pirate, but more importantly, having taken one away from Andrew, let me update my NYC Dec. 8 pirates:

Rock Center Cafe does not take reservations while the tree is up . . . now we can either decide to do John's and then head over to see the tree and take a picture (at John's they don't take reservations either but if we go right as people are heading to the B'way matinees -- assuming the strike is over by then:eek: -- around 1:30 or so, it shouldn't be too hard to get a table) OR we can wait for a table at Rock Center and chat while waiting. I'm not sure how long the wait would be -- I've only been there at the holiday season to have Breakfast with Santa, where you get tickets in advance (and then of course skate with a suspiciously different-looking and skinnier Santa than the one who came by your table earlier -- ah, for the days when my kids were younger).

Let me know what you guys think!!!!!

John's is fine at about 1:30. This will give us more time to see the sights. Or we could plan to meet at the Rock Cafe and if the wait is too long, go to John's. I'll go with the general concensus. Time passes fast when chatting. Thanks for doing this Julie.

No problem . . . I am leaning toward John's anyway, since I am simply not sure of how crazy and long the wait might be at Rock Center . . . a December weekend in midtown can be pretty packed . . . let's see what our other intrepid Dismeeters want, though . . .
