Hi Everybody,
Just getting back to work this morning. Boy, did I have a pile of junk on my desk to go through. I needed a DISBoard break. I did finally complete my blog on Sunday and wanted to share...

Andrew, how does one submit a photo for the DCL pic of the day?

Hope everyone is recuperating well from their vacation. :thumbsup2

Brian

Anyone can just add theirs it should be one a day, but some of us bend the rules.

Thanks. I can be a bit long-winded. Angie says no one cares about when we brush our teeth, but I disagree!

I could only augment the great photos you've posted. Either you or Susan has a great eye. If it's you, you're in the wrong occupation (but the pay isn't as good). :rolleyes1

I do disagree with you on Brent. I thought he did a good job. Of course, Americans think nearly everyone with a Brit or Aussie accent is :cool2:

I had big camera problems on this holiday my Camcorder broke down after the first week in Barcelona and its a write off, and the small digital camera lost focus and played up a lot, i have some good ones but many out of focus, but out of 900 snaps I am happy.

On Brent, its just my opinion, Last year we had Andy, he was very funny more larger than life, in 2005 Rachel we saw every day morning noon and night for 14 days, so warm and so bubbly, she was everywhere all day and always talking to everyone and showed up at nearly all events.

We had a good one in 2002, but I cannot remember his name.

Brent in my opinion was more managerial, he did introduce the shows, and i saw him twice very early in the morning going around the ship checking things, I didn't see him show for some of the deck parties.

All thats pk satisfactory, but the main thing under par was his ship wide announcements, they seed a bit chaotic, hard to understand, Rachel is/was prompt to announce anything, as soon as the ship was cleared to go ashore she was on that second, Brent's talks were missing or was it I was off so quickly in some ports?

In some of his announcements he wouldn't give the full detail, as per the navigator, missing bits off.

Again INHO.

So where is the DCL Picture of the Day thread? I can't seem to find it.

I am in the process of making a web page- but until then here are some memories

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that my dad is still in the hospital in Sardinia. We were expecting them to fly home tomorrow but he had trouble breathing today and is back on oxygen. We are awaiting some test results and hope he will be home by the end of the week. My mom is there with him and my brother-in-law flew there last Thursday. He will b e staying for the duration with them. My son met us in Barcelona and flew home with us. My dad will not be able to attend the wedding next week but we are hoping my mom will make it home to be there with us.

Despite what happened to my dad, the cruise was wonderful. I am so fortunate to have met such of terriic group of disboarders. We were lucky to have cruised with each and everyone of you. I loved getting the magnets on my door. It helped put a smile on my face in ther midst of everything we were dealing with.

I will post updates as to my dad's condition.

Wendy,

He is in our prayers for a safe homecoming and recovery. Please make sure you post pictures of the wedding. Enjoy!

I've had Brent a few times and I find him professional. He's not as much "fun" but he makes me feel like everything is "under control" which I like......overall, I found the Magic to be in top form, well-managed, and the crew was the happiest I've ever seen them! I made a point of thanking Captain Tom, as I feel he's the main reason that the ship gets better and better. I guess it's really a collection of hard-working people, but I did appreciate all the improvements in the entertainment, etc. Of course, all our opinions are valued!:grouphug:

Nice pics, Sallie! Tara has posted most of our pics on our blog on the right-hand side........enjoy!!:goodvibes
