Hi Everyone,

We arrived home on Wednesday afternoon (NY time).

It was great meeting many of you. It felt like "home" and we were very comfortable stopping to chat whenever we met some of you guys on the cruise or tours. It was our best cruise so far.

Thank you again to everyone who went out of their way to make this extra special too. Thanks for the surprise dis door magnets. They were neat and I loved them. Little surprises that put a smile on my face.

Just trying to catch up w/my emails (deleting all junk and emails not needing attention). Lot's of laundry, pressing, paper work and so happy to have our "Sasha" home. She was also very well taken care of and I did not need to worry.

We will definitely visit Europe again via cruise/tour or on our own someday soon I hope.

Have a great day for now and hope everyone made it home safely with no lost luggages.

We made it home at about 11Pm on Wednesday. Our friend picked up our daughter and brought her to the airport to pick us up. It was so wonderful to see her. She did well most of the time but by last Sunday she had had enough and wanted to go home. She sobbed all afternoon. It's a good thing my Mom did't tell me that on the phone or I would have flown home Sunday from Marseille immediately.

Our flight from Barcelona to paris was uneventful but from Paris to Boston there were several men that security seemed to be watching. Then we boarded the plane and the pilot came on to say there was going to be a passenger check. Two flight attendants walked up and down the aisles counting people and checking names. Then they asked for a certain passenger to contact the attendant. Next they aske again for that passenger. No response. Next they brought back one of the men being questioned earlier and checked something in an overhead cabinet and compared his ticket with some other documents. Next the pilot comes on and says some luggage must be found and removed from the plane. This is all taking over an hour. I looked at Gerry and said I want to get off. He wouldn't let me. Finally the pilot said we were ready to go. I prayed for the next 6 hours. We made it home about 45 minutes late with all of our luggage.

Yestrday we spent the day with Lilly, going out to eat and to the movies and just being together. It will be a long time before I go away without my kids again.

Thank you to everyone who participated on this board and made the cruise so wonderful. We felt like we were part of a great big family sailing together. The group photo came out great and is a fantastic reminder of all the new DisFriends we have made.

I had fun showing Lilly all of the fish extender gifts she loved them.

Well I didn't do any laundry yesterday so today I will be :laundy: all day.

Thanks again to everyone.

Sandra

Sandra - glad you are back home with your dd. Have a great time spending time w/her now. You both survived it ;)

Had this incident happened on our plane, I think both my dd and I would have both gotten off - not sure if you remember that my dd got off the plane right before the cabin door closed when we went to Florida (WDW) early July. That would scared anyone and everyone.:scared1: :scared1: Glad all is well.

We met a family from MA at the airport in Barcelona on the day we arrived and saw them many times throughout the cruise but never got their last name or email. I know Sue read the boards even though she never posted.

Sue, it was wonderful to meet you and your family. We hope you had a safe trip home. If you'd like to get in touch our email is sandaneli at comcast.net. Use the @ sign and leave out the spaces.

Anna, I did think of her at the time. I figured I wasn't the only one who wanted ot get off. I was surprised that no one got off.

But we did arrive home safely. I hope we hear good travel reports from everyone else.

WELCOME HOME TO ALL!

What a trip!!! It was beyond what we expected. Each port of call was nicer than the next. But what really made this cruise so special was meeting all of you. When I look at our group picture, I am still awed at the number of new friends we made. It really was all of you that helped us create memories that will certainly last a lifetime. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

We took that No-Jetlag stuff and really didn't have any jetlag coming or going. I spent the day yesterday doing:laundy: and calling Iberia as they lost one of our bags coming home. It never made it out of Barcelona and was supposed to arrive at JFK last night around 7 and be delivered today. I've been on hold since 8:30 this AM trying to confirm. The system spits you out after 5 mins. so I am now an expert at pressing ones and threes to get to hold music. I will get through eventually and hopefully see our bag soon.

Helen & Dave- don't forget, we have a date when you visit NY next year. Keep us posted as to when and where to meet.

Sandra & Gerry - we had such a great time at Madellena with you. Keep in touch.

Izzy & Paul - we had such fun. Let us know if you visit NY and we'll certainly get together.

Sallie & Jim - don't forget - we have a dinner date in the near future.

Sallie & Jim, Helen & Dave, Izzy & Paul, Brian (sorry if I'm forgetting anyone else) - I will never forget out last night in Quiet Cove! The icing on an unforgettable cruise!!!!!!!

My email is m1graziano@aol.com to keep in touch.:grouphug:

What a story, Sandra! I'm glad you're home safe and reunited with your daughter................I've found that it is easier to travel with the kids, too.....it was great for us to be with Tara (DD23) b/c she doesn't live with us anymore...............

Glad your dog wasn't too upset, Harole Ann!!:goodvibes

Welcome home Anna!!:goodvibes

Welcome Home Everyone!!
I can’t believe we are off the boat and home. As posted by my friends already: :woohoo: :woohoo:
We had the best vacation ever!
Everything from the second we left home to the second we got home ran perfectly. No delays, no lines at the airport, taxis within 15 minutes at the most. Even going through customs was breeze. I kept looking at Jimmy and saying, I can’t believe how smoothly everything is going. It was truly the icing on the cake!
But, the best of all was the trip. The excursions (thank you so much Andrew for the excellent choices and planning), the food, the stateroom, the servers, and the shows were all beyond our expectations. Although this was our 2nd Disney Cruise- it felt like the first time because we knew so much more, and did so much more because of this thread.
However, the very best of all was having such good friends to share it all with. As a small family, you will never know how much fun we had each second because there was ALWAYS someone walking by the pool, someone walking past our dining table, someone only a few seats away in the theater, and someone just a few trays ahead or behind on line in Topsiders.
The time spent at night at the café were filled with great conversation sand so much laughter !!! There was even adult entertainment on the last night there!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
What a lucky bunch of people we are! I truly felt as if I have known some of you for years.
We spent our last day in Barcelona with Izzi, Paul, Josh and Ethan. As with all our days we had a ball, although Izzi and I have decided that Jimmy and Paul cannot have anymore play dates with each other- they are just too bad together! LOL!! As I hugged Izzi goodbye I couldn’t help the tears running down my cheeks, as I knew it would be a while before I saw them again.
I am so happy that Maryann and Tom live only minutes away and Anna, Wendy, and Julie are within 45 minutes- I know I will see them soon.
We arrived home at 12 pm yesterday- but the jet lag set in at about 6 last night. I must say I’m exhausted. I have a bout a hundred loads of laundry to do even though I didn’t wear half of the clothes I brought (which I knew was going to happen of course).:laundy: :laundy: :laundy:
I am going to try to post some pictures later- but right now- I have to take the older cat to the vet- she has a sinus infection!! Uggg!!
Love
Sallie
