Hey I've just realised that I'll have no problem with the luggage allowance and weight of my suitcases.....as at the rate I'm packing they'll all be EMPTY

That is my plan



Luggage is weighed on departure - no problem getting your luggage.
If flying from the U.S., as I understand it, the key issue is whether or not you can check your luggage all the way through to Barcelona. If so, the weight at departure from the U.S. is the one that matters. However, if you're switching airlines or there is no check-through agreement, and you have to recheck your luggage, the weight limit for the subsequent flight comes into play.

It not going to Barcelona I'm worried about Dan - It's coming home!!!!! (smilie trying to sit on suitcase to close and DH smilie just .

Our daughter too was on steroids for quite a long time when she was small. The rages are something else- you can't imagine how extreme and sudden they are till you've witnessed them. Total personality change and really frightening. I always knew the cause, but wasn't always able to stay detached and unaffected...

Yes, Maryann, that's why I was suggesting that everyone underpack the lowest limit on the way over . . . even if you give some presents/fish extender gifts, etc., that will never equal out what you will get back and purchase. It's also why I bought the scale to use -- the last day on the ship when packing I can always move some heavier things to my girls' suitcases to make sure all make the restrictions associated with the flight to Paris . . .
