I think probably a mixture of postcards. If they have something that the souvenir stores might not have - or something that strikes your fancy. Your a better art person than I.

Use your discretion - if you see something that might strike your fancy - I'd probably want it too. I am more of a tagalong than anyone thinks!

Hey - you think they sell blessed rosaries there? In Vegas - yes Vegas, I go to the Shrine of the Holy Redeemer which is a church w/o a school attached. It was aimed at the thousands of tourist and can hol more than 2000 people which it really fills up on Sunday - I can attest to that that - either the lucky souls that want to thank God or those praying for how to get home safely!

It is quite pretty though - anyway, their souvenir shop sells rosaries that are already blessed. HHHHMMMMMM...need to think about that! It'll be expensive and don't know if I can ask that of you. I'll think about it and talk to you on the ship!

Laura, we'll talk about the rosaries on the ship before that port . . . I am sure thay have them already blessed, though. No problem with this -- we will definitely be getting things there anyway.

Working on cabin welcome signage today or tomorrow. I like the idea of a round shape that will fit over the circular fixture on the door (somebody did that, didn't they?)

Anyone have an idea about how big that circle on the door is?

I'm off to take my middle daughter (age 12) to the Shake Shack, this terrific place in Madison Square Park created by the well known chef Danny Meyer . . . we think it has the best burgers in town (second place, Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien). At any rate, in about half an hour you might see us in line on the "Shack Cam" -- my daughter is blonde and is wearing a pink dress. Panic starting to set in -

nothing big - maybe about 4-5 different postcards just in case I can't get in there - some magnets - um about 5 - I shot off my mouth at April's new school to the religion teacher and she asked me for a small momento from the Vatican. Since I'm not sure it will be open when we get there - I figure that will do.

OH and if by any chance they have any video/DVD about the art in the Vatican - do you think they are worth it? I would like to see about getting one of those. I mean - with the minimum amount of time - I know that I won't even begin to see a portion of it. I will give you some $$ when we get on board - and in case I forget - you can always stalk me in Paris and the repo -

I managed to cancel Erice4 and Segesta in Palermo I think. I will also be canceling, if I'm allowed to at 11:50 Naples and La Spezia.

Brian - I want to do Rome but am waiting to see if onboard they have the Exclusive behind the Scenes tours - but I betcha once on board you'll have no trouble. And if you have access to internet - you might even be able to schedule it all that way. Unless you meet up with someone that doesn't have any plans. I have always been or known someone that wings port days and they don't seem to worry about it! Hope you find someone soon - maybe with all the newbies - you should try to post again just in case - how many were you looking for again?
