I'm not sure I understand what you're describing BUT IT SOUNDS REALLY COOL!

Thx for sharing!!:woohoo:

JoAnn--The second night in Antimator's Palate--instead of having the show of the Disney pictures changing colors, they showed pictures of the guests on the big screen. Did you see that show at dinner? That is the one I was talking about.

Hi all:goodvibes

Sorry its been ages since I've been on the board things have been hectic here. Dave returned safetly from his scuba diving holiday Eygpt and he had an amazing time (of course) He even visited the pyramids and actually went inside of one - in his words it was awesome!! (honestly im not jealous:rolleyes1 )

I really miss not planning for the med cruise and you guys - EVERYONE was so great -

We are not sure about what our holiday plans for 2008 will be - We might have to put back our trip to NY till 2009.

Origionally when we got our DVC the plan was to have a 'big holiday' every 2 years. Well Dave kinda reminded me that 2006 we went 7 days wdw & a 7 night western cruise. Then of course came 2007's fab hol.

When we rebooked on board this year it was always for a cruise in 2009.

I'd love to go to NY next year but its the cost of flights - I have to get premium economy seats as there is noway I could sit in standard economy for that length of time with my back. Your looking at £1000 per person ($4000)

Anyway count us in for 2009 - we would have to go late july /early aug due to school hols. Around the same date as this years.

Thanks for the great holiday and the memories

Great memories, Helen! I have missed hearing from you! Did you ever make your peanut butter fudge?

We could all have a great time in the Caribbean in 2009---we are going in November, 2008, but we would be happy to go again the next summer!

I was hoping your back was doing better! Take care!!

Sounds good you canstay at Julie's.

Wow, Andrew, does this mean that when the girls and I come to London we can stay with you???????????????????

Seriously, Helen, I hope you do come to NYC and I hope that we are here to greet you (not that we plan to move; I mean that I hope we are not on vacation somewhere else when you visit).

As for me, I would always rather DCL go somewhere I have not gone before -- while I love the Caribbean, I'd rather do something new and interesting. Alaska, Hong Kong, Northern Europe -- count me in. If they really weren't doing anything special in 2009 I might go ahead and book an Eastern and then plan some other vacation as well that summer.

It's certainly an interesting waiting game . . .

Well, we've recently decided to move my 2008 ressie to 2009, I'm in the process of signing up for the waitlist with my reservation numbers.........I'M DYING TO GET BACK TO THE CARIBBEAN! We haven't seen CC since 2004 (we went West coast in 2005, RCL in 2006, and Med in 2007) So I'm ready for another trip in the Caribbean sun! We'll book late July, since that's our usual time to travel (right in the middle of the school break.)

No, Harole Ann, I didn't know that they showed guest pics in AP! I wonder what we were doing, maybe it was our Palo night! Thx for sharing that! Welcome back Helen!!

We're leaning towards going to Europe for a land trip next summer. Two of the girls will be studying "abroad" so we thought we could meet them over there and do alittle touring. The Rents will be 50 years married so maybe they'll join us again!:cloud9:

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just off the Wonder, 2009 Itinerary info.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just fresh off the Wonder this morning (bummer, we had a fabulous time!) and did re-book a bogus date to move to 2009 when the itineraries are announced. Kylie at the booking desk did say that DCL WILL NOT be going to the Med in 2009. She also said something like, "the ships will be staying closer to home since the Magic was away from home for 2 summers". And finally, bookings for 2009 should open up sometime the 1st 2 weeks of December.

Honestly,

I'd prefer the Carribbean in 2009 as we are doing Wyoming in 2008. I'll definiately be in the mood for palm trees by then. End of July beginning of Aug will work for us. We haven't done the Eastern yet so that would be our preference.

Great to hear from you Helen. Glad Dave enjoyed his trip. It would be nice if you could add NY to 2009!

Where is Mary Jo?

We have been getting reports of this, a DISPODCAST this week said ALASKA 2009 and Hong Kong 2010, they said a good rumor, another Travel agent, who has given me accurate information in advance before said.

CARIBBEAN- ties in with closer to home.

Hi everyone - finally gave up on trying to straighten up the house. I think that it will never be straightened up until the kids are all gone.

And on that front...........drum roll please........

my oldest - Andrew and I made up on or about Sept 17th. He then moved out on Sept 28th. However, while he moved out - I have become accustomed to the 3 am creep-ins he makes. Seems he misses the girls (dogs) and "comes" over to alleviate their boredom - I told him that its ok - I missed him too. ;)

Although his bedroom sure doesn't reflect it - it is now pretty clean and dust free and some of my Disney stuff has been slowly making an appearance along side some Pamela Anderson and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle posters.

 Its funny to see him bite his tongue on this point but what can the young man say - and on that note again - while I miss him dearly - I am a lot more happy and surely see the wisdom of him not being here now my only question is - why did I wait so long????????? :lmao:

Oh yeah - I have become a piranha (sp?) at my local CVS store - I have started to print some of my 6000 pictures from our Med cruise and I seem to be tying up the computer to which I tell them - then they should get 2 of their 3 machines fixed as I have a right to print pictures. Admittedly - I shouldn't "hog" up the computer as much (my record has been 6 hours standing) but hey - I have to crop them - sides I'm paying for them.

I thought about doing it online but CVS prefers that you don't send more than 40 pictures at a time and their system is as slow as molasses. So far I am up to Palermo in putting into my scrapbook - nothing official and neat looking but I am thoroughly enjoying my trip down memory lane.

Oh and last but not least - I was returning from a car tune up when I popped into our local Calumet store - for those that don't know - it is a major nationwide photography store that is in Orange County - guess what Laura got? I got a new toy!!!!!:rolleyes1

I got the new Canon 40D which is a 10.1 megapixel camera which can take 6.5 frames per second and has a faster motor speed and lots of other goodies and gadgets which I must not sit down and read about.

This if part of the reason that my housework never seems to get done around here. Oh well, someday.......someday!!!!

We miss you Mary jo!!!

Thx for the update, Laura, it look like things are looking up!!!

Let's celebrate normal temps in Fall for our area, finally! :goodvibes

I agree with JoAnn for a celebration of the normal temperatures for the Fall season in the Eastern US. It has been a beautiful weekend.

Everytime I open my purse I pick up the nice pen from Mary Jo & I think of her!

Glad to hear from Laura and I know she will have so much fun with that new camera!

JoAnn--you need to PM me with your mailing address. I just looked at that DVD again from Antimator's and I know you must have been at Palo that night. For heaven sake your family is the star of the show! There is a picture of you and your husband, and picture of your parents, and a picture of your girls and a picture of your entire table. You have to have a copy of this DVD. I will do my best to make one for you. Until I looked at it again today I did not realize that your entire family was there! You will love it!

Thx very much for thinking of us! I did PM you tonight, Harole Ann!

I agree, I've been cleaning out the kitchen drawers and I found the MJ pen from our cruise. It brought back more fond memories.......thx to MJ for her thoughtfulness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

Hee Hee Hee - I've been using 2 pens ever since I got off the ship. I had 3 but when I got home I found that I lost the actual writing part - how in the world that happened - I have no clue but I enjoy the smile that comes over my face everytime I think of that cruise -

Thanks MJ! I miss you too!

I, too, think of MJ whenever I see that pen. That was really thoughtful. We should pop over on the CA boards and tell her we miss her.

Glad things are better for you Laura. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Yes, Happy Fall to all of us Northeasteners!  90 degrees in Oct. just wasn't right. Our trees are still so green. Very few are even turning yellow. I think the reason I want Fall to come so quickly is that means 2008 is just around the corner and with it our plans for the 2009 cruise!!!!!!!

Hi Harol Anne, I was just looking at the recipe the other day - think I'm going to try it next week whilst we are on a weeks school holiday. I am wondering if your powered sugar is the same as our icing sugar??? anyone know?

Seriously, Helen, I hope you do come to NYC and I hope that we are here to greet you (not that we plan to move; I mean that I hope we are not on vacation somewhere else when you visit).
