Ok since we're sharing pictures - here's one of my favorites - not sure why it is - its not all that interesting but the hues in real life were astonishing. The picture doesn't do it justice but here it was just before 7 and as we were getting into Tenerife.

Yikes - I've been caught - still trying to unpack and now I'm getting the evil eye! Anyway, speaking of "catching" people - I caught a certain elusive person - at the top of the Leaning tower - I think they were evading all of us. However, reports and evidence show that they did attend the cruise - Andrew!!!!

Gosh - gotta go - be back to post later. On to my second suitcase!

Here's a favorite memory of mine -- an absolutely adorable waiter we had in Florence -- nothing more fun than a good lunch with lots of silly flirting:

Hey yall - guess what I posted on our Repo cruise?

Anyone care to hazard a guess?

CastawayCayPubNite001.jpg

What a great picture! I wonder who the two young ladies are??????

(thanks again for taking it, Laura . . . .)

Was Andrew on the cruise?????? I know he was on the tender to La Spezia, but he doesn't appear in our group photo . . .

Laura, I am sorry to say that I got home days before you and I have not fully unpacked . . . . I did get distracted today looking through photos.

TEE HEE HEE - I am uploading pictures now to photobucket and its seems I can't seem to stay off of any one thread in particular. Someone let me know if I have posted - I should just stick to one thread!!!! :rotfl2:

And this is with me only transferring the last 1/2 of the pictures from my single processor back to my card down to my old dino computer which is creaking and groaning like heck. Now to erase those and download the other ones. I must admit I went a bit crazy in Pompeii - I'd post the pictures of the house of ill repute but I wouldn't want to get shut down! :lmao: BTW, I am still :magnify: for that picture of the elusive Porter family but I haven't uploaded those yet. Soon - very soon.

Dang Nabbit - April just called - she needs to be picked up and photobucket was just zipping along oh well, here's one I just downloaded just now - this is the back end of the Vatican Museam tour. By this time, I was AGAIN LAGGING behind and was just literally running down the hall with my camera pointed up shooting at the ceiling while the group was like a mile ahead of me. I didn't catch much of what she was saying other than to hear these were mostly all gifts to the Pope from over the years. I missed the Moon rock and would have loved to have seen where it was but by the time I got there - they had already moved on.

This is at the end of the tour and is on the ceiling - yes - I was just running and pointing up and catching what I could without flash. Hope you all like!

Hi Everyone,

Things are slowly getting back to normal- as normal as they can be under the circumstances.

Matthew and Leah's wedding in St. Augustine, Fla. was beautiful. There were 210 guests -some who travelled from as far away as Saudi Arabia!
My DD Amy was a bridesmaid, DS Andrew was Best man, and my nephew was a junior usher.

Leah was a beautiful bride and Matthew a very handsome groom!
Leah's grandfather who is a pastor and missiionary, performed the wedding ceremony. They wrote their own vows. It was very moving.

The reception was wonderful. It was a delicious buffet prepared by the Italian chef and his wife who own the small resturant Matthew worked at during college. A band played many old songs - Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, etc. and some new songs, too. They played my dad's favorite song- Let Me Call You Sweetheart.

I am so glad we went ahead with the wedding. It was good for all of us even though at times it was difficult. My dad would have been very proud of Matthew.

They spent their honeymoon in Hawaii and arrived safely home today.

I'll try and post more pictures in a couple of days.

Interestingly enough, what those 6 sea days in a row reminded me most of was a week at the beach -- few plans, get up when you like, relax at the pool, interspersed with bouts of activity and then reading while looking at the ocean . . . of course there were differences but the feel of those days was very much like the feeling of a week at the beach. It was wonderful. After the crazy pace of the 11 night Med cruise and then a pretty brisk pace in Paris, the 14 night repo was very relaxing, few ports and lots of time to kick back and reflect on the entire experience this summer.

If only the group from the July 28 sailing had been on the repo as well!

THAT would have been great!

Hey guys, I was going through some of my pics and saw this one of the moon on the night we sailed from Barcelona... Notice anything familiar?

Thx for two great memories and reflections!!!! I'm glad Julie that you were sharing your quotes before the trip, my favorite part WAS WAITING FOR THE TRIP WITH EVERYONE!! Of course sailing together was also great, but the prep was excellent between the lanyards, pirates, quotes, countdowns and let's not forget..........BRIT CHAT!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: pirate:

Wow, what beautiful memories........your family looks fabulous!!!!!!!!

A month ago today we were in Villefranche, and enjoying the nearby sights of Monaco, Monte Carlo (where I won ... not much, but I won ;) ), and Eze -- what a fun day that was for us!

I think the only thing that would have made it better would have been to have visited those places with you guys -- our favorite excursions were the private ones shared with our new friends.

Hey, Laura. Can I have some of your pics? Do you have any that are bigger? I would love to have some of the ones that I missed. :)

If not, that's okay, too, of course.

Wendy, these pics are just beautiful! I teared up when I read that they played your father's favorite song. How special and bittersweet that must have been.

I have to agree with you, JoAnn. I had so much fun prepping with all of you, and all of the fun talk in between making plans. Kelly still talks about correctly flinging TP over the stall & having just the right arc to it, and for some reason, the picture of the truck loaded with TP comes to mind, and it just makes me laugh.

Good times .... good times

Hey Mary Jo!

I have a ton of pictures that when I come back (yup - ::yes:: leaving for the weekend again) I can send you once I got them all loaded up into this dinosaur. My new laptop is single and slow. So I can send you a link if you want or an attachment. I upload them to photobucket small so as not to take up much space. They look really clear and more detailed when you view it on your screen. LOL

OK just let me know and I will let you know when its done. I'm hoping to get some work done on it this weekend.

BTW, did I tell you all that I FINALLY got to try out the pool on the Magic? After either 10-11 or 12 cruises - I finally went and took the plunge literally and while I was at it - tried out the hot tub and even laid out for 10 minutes. It was cool. The adult pool was heated up to 86 degrees. I can really get to like that. :cloud9:

Later all - DH is hurrying me up - guess he wants to leave or something like that. Have to admit - I like the idea of playing some 21. It will be the 1st time in years that I have the itch to play. We have not been to Vegas since New Years. Now if my palm would only start itching! :rotfl2:

Catch you all later. Gotta go pack a mini-suitcase.

Beautiful photos and obviously a beautiful wedding . . . I'm glad that your family was able to find some happiness in the midst of the sadness as well.

JoAnn, remember in the weeks before the cruise when Sallie (I think) asked if we would stay in touch after the cruise and I responded that it would never be the same, so we should enjoy it? I'm glad we all seized the moment and enjoyed each other like nuts before the cruise, since it made the entire experience so much nicer, don't you think?

Okay - who is this? I'm stumped!

It's Susan Egan, original Belle on Broadway and voice of Meg in Hercules, with Meredith, my youngest daughter. Laura was kind enough to take pictures during an autograph session.

Lol - I actually recognized your daughter in the pic. :) I didn't know Susan Egan, though. That must have been exciting to see her.

Her show was awesome, and then there was a nice Q and A session another day, followed by the autograph session . . . she was wonderful.
