I never got a group pic of us @ the 4cats - Izzie did the one Etan take work? if so I would love a copy.

Beautiful fountain photos, Helen! I am sorry we missed you there, but we were someplace in the crowd. All I have is video from the fountain and a daytime shot from above. It looks very different during the day!

The one thing I marvel at as I look at all of the pictures is the beautiful sky! When have you ever taken a vacation that every day you got up the sun was shinning and you had such wonderful weather to enjoy!

I am thinking it had something to do with all of the wonderful people sharing the events together!! What a treasure of memories! Thanks everyone!

Beautiful fountain photos, Helen! I am sorry we missed you there, but we were someplace in the crowd. All I have is video from the fountain and a daytime shot from above. It looks very different during the day!

Today is my birthday and my best gift is that I found out we are going to be a grandparents for the 1st time. We are so excited. Amy and Ryan have been married 2 years and this is wonderful news. We are a bit concerned since Amy is diabetic and has been since 7 years old but she has great doctors and keeps her blood sugar where it should be.

Please keep them in your prayers.

Gerry has known for a few days but they surprised me by putting "Happy Birthday, Gramma" on my cake. At first I was but then when I realized what was going on I was so excited and happy.

I just had to let you all know.

There is always something with these computers!! I had a really stressful day yesterday, so I stayed up late and finally put my spin on our trip..........as you mentioned, I just wish we all could have shared more time......I still think that the preparation and recap was so much more fun b/c we all did it together (while earning pirates!! )

I love reading everyone else's blogs and seeing the pics b/c I CAN'T BELIEVE ALL THE STUFF WE MISSED!!!

I am planning to try to go back to Italy soon (maybe 2009? DCL?) I think I would rather do France first next time!!

When do you start back? My first teacher day is Monday!

We really enjoyed France, too. Much more than we expected. We start back on Tues for a faculty meeting, Wed -Fri for students new to the school and freshman and then day after Labor Day school begins for all students.

I really think that the great time we had on this trip has lifted my spirits. I smile everytime I think of the wonderful time we had and the new friends we met. This should last until we begin planning our next adventure...........

Maryann, how is your mom? Did she do OK with you and Tom gone? Are the other family members still speaking to you??

We also enjoyed France. We spent 3 1/2 days in Paris after the cruise and it was great. My daughter would love to live in the south of France sometime - ocean and mountains - what more could you want? Of course, at 16, money is no object, so let her dream!!

Can't wait to read JoAnn's blog - trying to keep my time on the computer to a minumum to make up for all the time before the trip

What's the joke with the wine tasting? We went to the last one - did we miss something special on one of the others? Was it like tequila tasting JoAnn? Or don't you remember?
