Alright I know that I've not been around so much the last few days but is that a reason not to talk to me ??

Just as an observation...I think that the reason there are so many Brits on this cruise is that over here the school break for the summer around the 20th July so there are only 2 cruises left after that date.

You would have thought that Disney would have researched the dates so it coincided a bit more with European holidays...or maybe they did and they decided they wanted to market to the U.S rather than the E.U.

As an addendum to my last post my mate on the Passporter board reported that there were only about 3 British families on the 1st Med cruise. I guess that answers my question about where Disney marketed this cruise !!!!!

Thought I know it isnt Spainish, but in Barcelona I am going to use the Hard rock cafe just down from my hotel a lot, does anyone want to meet up there?

Not sure if we can pre book, but at least Kids will be happy???

I wouldn't want to prebook or commit, but it's a definite possibility depending on how tired we are that evening.

Does anyone know what happened to the t-shirt idea. I've not been around an awful lot the last couple of day and I thought I may have missed something

We have a logo and design - if nobody else does it then sometime towards the end of the month I'll post a couple of PDF files that people will be able to print and iron on to shirts. Want to wait a bit to give the tag fairy a chance to finish her work ;)

Have we decided when we're going to wear the shirts ? Is it going to be when we first board or at some other pre-arranged time ?

Hasn't been discussed yet. I'd recommend Saturday - so people will have a chance to spot each other before the official Dismeet the next day?

Dan that sound like a great idea to me...It'll also scare the living daylights out of everyone else and the DCL staff that there are so many of us onboard:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:wave2: everyone -

I forgot - who were we supposed to tell which tag we wanted? I was so crazy last week that I totally forgot?

Dan that's so great that you helping with this.

Isabel - you are just doing what everyone of us has done at one poinnt or another! :rotfl2: So don't feel bad

On Fish Extenders - did we decide on a judging contest?

I think and this is just my personal opinion, that the 10 day is just tooo busy and they don't have that extra sea day so I'm sure that many (as I would have done) have just booked and booked and booked excursions since this is probably the 1st time that some of us have gone. It has taken months for me to realize - I can't see it all. Pace myself and just bookmark the places I HAVE to come back too.

Carrie - were you doing the tags selection? I'll pm you sometime soon.

OK - anyone else?

OH YEAH! TOM & LYNN - thank you for posting the navigators - AWEsome and you have such wonderful friends to think of you that way! How cool is that? But we're glad your onboard with us! This way, by the time we sail, the kinks will mostly be worked out. (fingers crossed)

Andrew - Hard Rock sounds more my style - let me know if you decide to set something up. This is more definite. My family is more burgers and fried and only get to gourmet on the ship and that's only because they are forced too.

OK - that's it for now I think.

I may be hosting an out of town guest this upcoming weekend so I have to attempt to clean this house of mine! Not to mention :laundy:

Just out of curiousity - what is the roundabout figure now of DIS cruisers? I know that we keep changing do to last minute add-ons - just curious - I might even venture onto page 1 to see!

According to the front page we're now running at 259

I notice that there was a lot of talk about Loo Paper going on...now I know that this will be my 3rd cruise and I've travelled fairly extensively in Europe but is there something about lavvie paper that I NEED to be aware of ????
No its fine in Spain and Italy
Josh (DS 11) left on his school journey today, a week in Weston-Super-Mare and even though it's only 1 person missing out of a household of 5 people it seems strangly quiet in the house :confused3 :confused3
My DD is in France four days and we feel the same.

Hello I went out for a while.
Just as an observation...I think that the reason there are so many Brits on this cruise is that over here the school break for the summer around the 20th July so there are only 2 cruises left after that date.

Agree re schools it was a factor with me, DCL fails to advertise in the UK, I think they would pick up a lot more cruisers if they did. Basically they think USA only, maybea little Canadian, but are geared up for the USA Mass market.
A Tie in with DLP would work. Basically they have the same gap out of the carribiean as they had in 2005 on the West coast and again the same gap in 2008. DCL tends to be quite predictable, its slow to change and will not 'risk' it wants money in first. OK the Med was a little risk, but they asked cruisers first and it was the No 1 choice outside USA.
As an addendum to my last post my mate on the Passporter board reported that there were only about 3 British families on the 1st Med cruise. I guess that answers my question about where Disney marketed this cruise !!!!!

In fact the Disboards marketed the MED and the 2005/2008 West coasts ones, apart from a press launch at WDW or DL, no advetising just word of mouth, or word of post.
