We will be on the same ship, too!! I'm taking my 2DGD's (that's Darling GrandDaughters), ages 8 and 5. We'll arrive on the 26th from San Diego, Calif. and will spent the night at the Hyatt. All of us are soooooo excited. I will save the Palo dinner reservations for the couples but I'd love to go to the High Tea at Palo. Not sure what to do with the two girls while I'm in the reservation line. Wonder if I can check 'em in at their clubs?

Our first "Beachgirls & Co" meeting (from the name of the starter of this thread) is planned to be on Saturday, 3.00 PM near the Goofy's Pool Stage (Deck 9, mid ship).

Topsider Buffet will be just closed, but if somebody is still hungry, a few steps away there is Pinocchio Pizzeria

I'll be home one day from the Disney cruise, then fly out the next for a 12 day Mediteranean Princess cruise. I'm going with 3 girlfriends, all of whom are looking for the Italian Stallions!

Hi y'all! We'll be there to meet everyone at 3:00 on Saturday! Our dd, Devin, is 11 and our ds, Greg, is 6. I wish I knew how to put pictures on here, but alas, I'm a technological idiot. I'll have to see if I can get dh to come up from the basement (he has a woodworking shop down there) to get him to take care of that for me (he's a programmer in real life) Does anyone have a website with your pictures on it? We'd love to see them! I have to see if I can make myself appear much thinner! I kinda resemble this little guy! LOL And I certainly act like him!

Everyone got their pins ready for trading?! We're set...I think!

ZooMommy - Hey - its Beachgirls - sorry I haven't responded before now - it was my 37th birthday on Friday - so I took the day off!! I was just looking through some threads and saw you were on the same cruise as all of us so I wanted you to join in on our thread. That's great that your on deck 6 - so am I - my and my DD's will be in room 6078! I don't think that's toooooo far from you, but I don't know as I've not been on a cruise before - Paintballbusters is my sister and her family. As you probably know from Paintballbusters - we've scheduled our excursions.

As far as a meeting I believe we are all planning on meeting at 3:00 p.m. the first day on the ship (Saturday) at Goofy's pool side. I think if you read a couple of posts before these you'll see the info. I'd be happy to email you a picture of us so you'll kinda be able to find me - but you'll have to send me a private message or your email so I can send it to you! Also, my DD Taylor is 10 1/2 so maybe her and Devin will get along great. Do you have an email where Taylor can email Devin. I, like you, am very, very excited being my first cruise. I know its very hard not to get excited.

OKAY - ON THE IDEA FROM MARCO 1 - I'm going to make a sign that says "Beachgirls & Co. Party" Here - maybe if I hold it up - everyone in this growing group will find everyone!! So at 3:00 p.m. at the Goofy pool stage - I'll hold up a sign (if the ship allows) and everyone can know where we are - does that sound okay? It might make it easier who knows - just a suggestion.

That sounds good that you're gonna have a sign so we can be on the lookout for y'all. Devin's so excited that there are other girls her age that she can pal around with. If you'll send me an email from the board, I'll reply to you personally with her email addy for Taylor, ok?

Does anyone know about the lime green ribbons we can wear? I'm assuming it's so others from these boards will recognize us, but I'm not 100% sure. If anyone has a clue, please fill me in!

Sorry I've not responded everyone - been very busy lately.

Hey ZooMommy - thanks for the birthday congrats! Had a wonderful 37th birthday. I'll get the email address to you so Devin can email Taylor. She's visiting her dad through Father's Day so she'll be back home on the eve of the 17th.

Grandmamalinda - when I was married to my daughter's daddy our last name was 'Beach" and we were three girls so I've always used "beachgirls" - I'm probably going to have to change that soon as I've remarried recently and my name changed to "Bias". But, I still like to refer to beachgirls as my daughters last names are still "beach". Anyway its worked really good for us three young ladies. I guess I still dream of a "beach" here in Oklahoma. The closest I get is Lake Thunderbird - we're only about 5 minutes from it - but its far from being a beach - everyone in Oklahoma calls it "dirty bird" as we have red dirt and most of the time it looks red.

Haven't heard anything about green ribbons - I'll go do some searching to see what I can find - maybe you can start a thread on them and see what we find - I'm thinking about doing one on sunscreen vs. sunblock - I've heard that one's better than the other but I don't know which one. Anyone have any info on this subject here?

Hey, BeachGirls, very cute label! but red dirt? Yuck!
I bought an underwater camera at WalMart (about $8.), has 27 exposures, waterproof to 17 feet. I'll be lucky to get the 5 and 8 yr. old 3' underwater! Linda

That's what I've got on my list of things to get. Atleast now I know about how much money its gonna cost me. Thanks - I now know Walmart - $8 bucks - my girls are looking forward to the water so I'll have to probably get a camera for each of us for underwater.

Re. your question on sunblock/suncreen.....I jotted down a few notes from a t.v health commentary yesterday on this subject. The best product contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide (zinc offers more UVA protection), should be at least 15 but not necessary to go more than 30. Good to be PABA-free since PABA is a chemical that can cause skin irritation. I read the label of the product I use on my grandchildren-Coppertone Kids Spray 'N Splash sunblock lotion, 30 spf, 6 hr. waterproof. Didn't contain either the zinc or the titanium! Even though the kids will be California sunproof by late July, I read they may fry in the Caribbean sun. I'm look for another product and best to bring a lot! Linda

I'm Karen, I'm from Oregon, and we're sharing a ship! I'll be cruising with my teenage daughter and I'm looking forward to a relaxing week. We're leaving the "boys" at home, having a week of a clean cabin (meaning no guys to mess up the place) sounds like heaven to me. (I know the payback will be what the house looks like on our return, but I don't care).

I'm looking for another single adult traveler (or more) to have dinner with me at Palo or else I'll be dining alone that night. Anyone interested?
