My DM & DS (Beachgirls) left good ol' Tecumseh USA this morning. Before they even got out of town, DM had to make a stop at the U.S.P.O. On her return to the truck, she got in the wrong vehicle. She just opened the door to a big white truck, went to hop up in it, just so happened to look up and see a fat man sitting behind the wheel instead of DS. That's the 1st for our little trip report. Now on to the 2nd -- DM forgot her handicap sticker and my DD had to meet them in town to give it to them. Now the 3rd and this was a little scary, but normal for DS (LOL) -- she ran a 4-way stop sign and almost got creamed.

So if everyone would keep them in their prayers as they are driving across the U.S., I would greatly appreciate it. I last spoke to them at 6:30 pm EST and they were at a WalMart in Shreveport, LA. They're going to try and make it all the way to Monroe, LA to spend the night. They're headed to Harrisburg, MS to do some genealogy.

OMG!!!!!! I am praying for them this minute!!!!! The trip can only get better for them....It can't get any worse!!!!! Or maybe it can!
I bet your mom about had a heart attack when she got in that truck!!!! Sounds like something MY mom would do!!!!
I'm sure they'll be fine!

Mental note to self: Self, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, get into a vehicle that Tyla's driving.... also look for Brandi and Tyla's mom and place a large sign on her back (without her knowledge) that will tell others who she belongs to.... Gee, I think they're going to find out that I'm related to y'all somehow! Sounds like my driving and my habit of trying to get into cars that I don't belong in! I just wonder what that man thought when she got in!!! Whew! Prayers are on their way for them... I know there's no basis for this in Scripture, but I think prayers for their guardian angels might be needed, too! LOL

They made it safely to Jackson, MS about 11 pm last night. I talked with Tyla this morning @ 9:20 and everyone was still asleep. DM is going to do genealogy today for a few hours while the girls take in swimming at the motel. Then they're headed to Florida. They are hoping to make it all the way to Tallahassee by tonight. Wish 'em luck!!!

Whew! Thanks for the update, Brandi! I was praying for them!

Now everyone needs to pray for ME as I get on the plane.... I wish we were driving down there. Flapping my arms would get me nowhere, though!!

I just hope I've gotten enough packed for us - help!!!

Talked to Beachgirls @ 10 pm CST last night and they had just made it to Pensacola. They were going to continue on to Tallahassee to spend the night; get up this morning and drive the rest of the way to the ship. They'll be staying at the Howard Johnson Express tonight.
