I think I just came up with a great FE gift... My friend makes custom printed items.
I can have her make gummy bands with DIS 7-27-13 on them in a BRITE color.

These would allow us to pick each other out from the masses.

I know I'm not into that type of thing normally but would wear them for others to identify myself as a DIS nut

Would I be wasting my money?

On my first DCL cruise we did this and it was nice. I say go for it!

Yay! Cruise #2! Last summer on the Magic- LOVED.

I was waiting for an event to be sure we were going..and WE ARE GOING!

We had to go back, too many pictures of DH and the princesses and not enough of DD

Last year cruised from NY and made the bags as heavy as I wanted. This year flying and consolidating so I have to come up with something light for the FE...

I cant wait to meet you all and share the joy!

I'm so excited. This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We've been on the Wonder, Magic and now the Fantasy in 63 days but who's counting right LOL.

It will be myself and my DS (18), my sister, brother in law, and their DD (12) and DS (9).

At the risk of hurting my DW feelings, I didn't like the wrist bands her friend makes.
I had envisioned those silicone bands and these were more of a wet suit materiel.

Coffee Suggestion: Bring a French Press Pot and your own Coffee.

I understand that the coffee they serve, especially at the self-serve drink station, is kinda bleh. We will be bringing our own, to make ourselves. DH loves his coffee in the morning.

Just off our great DCL transatlantic cruise!!! Weather and seas were great! We really enjoyed the Candy Exchange on that cruise, and I see that dbarker has that option on the spreadsheet! I see there are somebody"no's" and a few "???" What it would be is a chance to share locally produced candy with other exchangers. We had 11 participants on the TA cruise, and DH & I really enjoyed the bounty!

Two things... This is my first cruise as GTY. Approximately when will they assign cabins? I understand there is a 5k walk/run/crawl on Castaway Cay. Does anyone have anymore information about it as my grandson would like to participate? Like, how/when do you register? What happens and when?

I was looking at the FE list and am a bit dismayed that the number of participants isn't larger. I've never sailed on the Fantasy and was expecting a larger number than I have seen on the smaller ships. Also, there is a column for "Candy Exchange" on the FE list. I have never heard of that.

Candy exchange is tentative, depending on interest, there is a bit. The idea is that you contribute some local area candy to the participants. It will work like the FE, but you'll contribute specific, candy treats.

There were Hershey treats, Salt water taffy from NJ, and Utah, and specialities from England, and more. We had 11 participants.

Since this is my first time on a forum, I would welcome any suggestions, tips, or constructive comments! My DD and DS would love to find some friends to pal around with. (My daughter insisted upon adding the emoticon)
