July 27, 2013 - Fantasy - Eastern Caribbean

:welcome: gmakosoy! i thnk i saw you on the FB page?

what was decided on the deadline for FE sign-up, so that we have time to make the gifts, knowing how many to make?

we are IN the FE! YES! ::yes:: ::yes:: we are going to do this thing! LOL

had a dream last night that we were the last family to checkin at Port, and were checking in the and the ship left us! then they took us out by speedboat to meet up with it! it went on a bit more but got really unrealistic so i won't bore you! LOL! thank goodness we already checked-in online and have the 11 - 11;30 boarding group...NOT the last one!

Welcome aboard!!! :welcome:

You are signed up on the spreadsheet.

Just a reminder: Please add your stateroom number to the spreadsheet. If you are GTY, plus indicate so, then add your stateroom number as soon as you know it.

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. We love to help people and answer questions.

Embarrassed to ask this, but what is "GTY"

I will go back and include my stateroom when I get home this evening.

GTY is a category booking that doesn't give you a specific room number until right before or at sailing...

Also, I think GTY is short for "Guaranty". :confused3 .....maybe

Both are correct. I did a GTY oceanview cabin for my 3 day Dream cruise in Oct. 2011. I was NOT happy at all with my cabin since it was directly above the nightclub and you could feel the bass of the music in our room as well as hear most of the songs. Since it was such a short cruise I didn't complain, but will never do a GTY cabin again. Some people have great luck with GTY's and get upgraded, but luck was not on my side that cruise.

I also received the priate costumes that I ordered for $10 online. My DD's is perfect and fits great. Mine, on the other hand, is a bit of a disaster and I think I might be skipping the adult dress up part of the evening. I have some pirate t-shirts that I made for my DH and I for the old Princess and Pirates parties that they used to do at the MK, so I might find those again.

How does 2pm on Sunday (first sea day) sound?

After looking at another Eastern Fantasy Navigator the only thing that might run into is the Port and Shopping show (if it's held at the same time as the previous cruise) and the 3pm showing of Aladdin is that day as well. But since there are 2 other showings of Aladdin I thought an hour meet before would be a good time. Plus if you booked a Palo brunch, it should be over by then.

Any suggestions for a place to meet? I think keeping it inside would be best, since the pools should be REALLY crowded 2pm on a sea day.

Are any of the lounges available at that time?

How about 4 weeks from embarkation day - June 29, 2013?

There probably will be some latecomers that will want to participate in the FE. I think we should allow them to participate, but with the understanding that they may not receive all the gifts that others are receiving. pixiedust:

This meets thread has really gained momentum since I last posted!:earsgirl: (I post mainly on the FB page.)

We're signed up for the FE too, (can't wait!) Still waiting on our GTY assignment too (DH and I are in 7502) but DD her BFF are in a GTY (unless that turns out to be better than ours, and we'll switch. Parental privileges.):rotfl2:

I looked at the deck plans, but I'm at a loss right now. I only had a 3 day on the Dream and would need to defer to someone who knows the deckplans on the Dream or Fantasy a bit better. But a lounge sounds great to me!

That date looks good to me. I think I might get a bit crafty with my FE's so I'll need the cut off date in time to plan properly.

i have updated the spreadsheet with our stateroom number and committed us to a final "YES" for FE :teeth:

the website told me 79 days :woohoo:

I've been on the fence with doing the FE. :confused3 :( I think I'm going to pass. But I'll think of all of you when I pass a door with a FE proudly displayed on it!

I have been on the fence regarding FE, but I'm leaning toward joining. We are 1 week away from our TA cruise!:banana:I'm participating in a few exchanges on that one, post card and "candy from home area," not FE, but I'm going to look and see what sort of gifts are given and I will decide then.

I am leaning toward joining, but just want to be sure, and want to see if my FE holds under the stress of its first cruise!
