July 27, 2013 - Fantasy - Eastern Caribbean

Hi Everyone... My DD (9) and I will be on the July 27 cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise. The FE idea looks really neat...would love to participate. We don't know what cabin we will be in yet. Currently have a GTY inside stateroom.

Also, is this group planning a meeting or perhaps meetings? Sorry if that was already discussed, I may have overlooked it in the many posts.

Awww man, I had a non stop flight out of SF and now we have a layover.

Grrrrrr. I paid a ton extra to go non stop.

Me too! On virgin America. . Now a stop at lax. Still better than the non-stop on united from sfo. That one doesn't leave til 600 p and gets in at 100 in the morning!

:welcome: Welcome aboard.

There is a sign up spreadsheet link on the first post on the first page.

There has been no discussion yet about a meet. I would love to have one, but no one has volunteered to coordinate it.

I'll go ahead and volunteer to set up the meet. I know it can be really fun getting to know fellow Disney fans and then seeing them around the ship throughout the week.

With the sail away party and then dinner it can sometimes be difficult to set it up on the first day. How does everyone feel about the next day at sea?

Kim:

Thank you for coordinating our Meet.

An "At Sea" day would be wonderful. We have 2 "At Sea" days following Embarkation day. I know we won't have time to do anything on embarkation day.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sounds good to me! I've never been able to meet a cruise meet up if it happens on embarkation day--- just too excited and busy to meet!

If you let me know the details of the Meet, I will post it on the First Post. That way the details don't get lost.

Thanks for doing this.

Hello everyone! I know I posted pretty early on in this thread, but I am JUST now getting to read everything and have paid off the cruise and can focus more on this upcoming vacation. And now I have the time to participate more in this thread and get to know everyone a bit better.

It is myself (Kim, 36), my husband Chris (37) and our daughter Chelsea (8). This will be our 4th Disney cruise and the first on the Fantasy. We've already cruise the Magic, Wonder and Dream and are really looking forward to a 7 night cruise again with DCL.

I would love to participate with the FE exchange. I'll have to find my old FE and brush it off! Do I just sign myself up on the spreadsheet?

We are on deck 6, 6501. It's an inside stateroom since we wanted to see what that virtual porthole is all about.

This cruise will be the end of our long summer vacation with 3 days at Universal and then 7 at AKL with our DVC.

-- Kim

I'm not on your cruise, but 2 weeks before you we will be in 6501! Hope it's great!

I just booked our Palo and Spa reservations. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I will begin the online check in process tomorrow after church. :woohoo::woohoo:

I got my Palo and Spa reservations too! No excursions though - figured we'd do them on our own this time around! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Stayed up last night and got my Palo, Remy, and spa reservations too! And just did my online check in. Can't wait! :yay:

How does 2pm on Sunday (first sea day) sound?

After looking at another Eastern Fantasy Navigator the only thing that might run into is the Port and Shopping show (if it's held at the same time as the previous cruise) and the 3pm showing of Aladdin is that day as well. But since there are 2 other showings of Aladdin I thought an hour meet before would be a good time. Plus if you booked a Palo brunch, it should be over by then.

Any suggestions for a place to meet? I think keeping it inside would be best, since the pools should be REALLY crowded 2pm on a sea day.

Just booked my brunch, Remy dinner, BBB pirate night package and excusion. I got everything I wanted!

I was just looking for a pirate costume for my DD and I saw that Costume Express has some clearance pirate cosutmes for $10! Picked up a cute one for her. Here's the link to the page for kids. http://www.costumeexpress.com/browse/Kids-Costumes/Pirates/_/N-aZ25Z1z141yl/results1.aspx

I even picked one up for myself for $10! I wasn't planning on dressing up, but for a $10, I might just have to now. pirate:

Just wanted to let you guys know in case someone wanted a cheap pirate costume.

Has anyone been on a 7-night Eastern before or has anyone researched the navigators for this cruise itinerary? I'm trying to make sure that my night for Remy is a night that I will not miss out on one of the shows in the theater. So at this point I've scheduled it for Wednesday night. From my research that seems to be the night they show a movie. Does anyone know for sure?

From my research I found this:
Monday - Fantasy Come True
Sunday - Aladdin
Monday - Wishes
Tuesday - Comedy show, Pirate night
Wednesday - movie
Thursday - Believe
Friday - An Unforgettable Journey

Thanks!

Does anyone know what time dinner is?

Were all checked in and booked brunch, sports...... Scheduling around dinner but, I didn't know the time.
